The Dallas Birddogs season hasn't been perfect, but I personally think there are some real bright spots, and a lot to be excited for in the coming seasons. First and foremost, our running back Zoe Watts has been extremely efficient in the Birddogs backfield even though she has the fifth most carries in the DSFL; a great deal is expected of her game after game, and she consistently lives up to the challenge. Let us also not forget about her four catches for thirty yards; each yard a testament to her dedication to her craft. If I had to make a case for a Birddog to win an on-the-field award this year, it would be Zoe Watts for running back of the year. Richard Leaking has had a fairly strong showing among linebackers in the DSFL, including a game where he registered 11 tackles, 3 deflected passes, and 1 sack, but I'm not sure I can make a legitimate case for him for linebacker of the year considering the seasons guys like Schell, Domine, Tate, and Light have had. Leaking is only growing as a player, however, and I am certain he will be in contention for LBotY in the seasons to come. If possible, I would also like to nominate the Birddogs twitter for being a consistent model of civility, charm, and panache. I do not believe a "Team Twitter of the Year" (TTotY) award currently exists, but surely one could come to exist.
