After an S25 season where the Baltimore Hawks found themselves just missing out on a playoff spot, the Hawks have reason for optimism as we enter the S26 season. While many teams are dealing with regression, and losing players to free agency and retirement, the Hawks have done much more improving this off-season. For starters, the Hawks only have one player from last years roster dealing with regression - safety Walt Green - and he is only expected to see the field in a limited capacity this season. With only one player facing regression, that means that the Hawks are improving at just about every position on the field. Players at important positions, such as quarterback Chika Fujiwara, cornerback Eldrick Avery, and linebacker Dex Kennedy are all entering their prime, and are among the league leaders in TPE at their respective positions. On top of that, the Hawks only had two notable players lost to free agency, in linebacker Darren De Ville and wide receiver Korbin Brown. However, the Hawks also managed to add a few new players of their own, as veterans Mathias Hanyadi and Dermot Lavelle Jr joined the team in the off-season. They will add some much needed help at running back and corner back, and should really help to solidify both positions for the Hawks. In addition to all of this, the Hawks should be improved in the trenches. They added defensive lineman Etrigan Slayer, who should help shore up the defensive line, and offensive lineman Felix Archstone was called up from the DSFL, who should provide a much needed boost to the offensive line. With all of this said, look out for the Hawks to surprise some people this season.
