Uhhhhhhhhh... By the agent bylaws you can't talk to any GMs without your player present in the chat. And if your client is still under contract/not yet legally a free agent, talking to a different team's GM about potentially joining their team is tampering. So, no, you can't really do that sadly.

That said I do like the agent aspect and enjoyed being a part of Slm's agency while it was running.

You may not be breaking any rules there but any GM who does that while a player is under contract is asking for trouble. I’m genuinely excited to be negotiating with an agent again but you best believe I’m waiting for free agency.

Like the player is watching the GM going "Yeah, we really want to get this guy here and here is what we're willing to do to make it happen." The player doesn't have to respond for that to be tampering.

Can’t you talk to GMs in generalities. Like what would sort of contract would you offer for a WR with 750 tpe. Just gauge potential interest levels of teams without tampering

But the GM isnt talking to the player. The players present but it's a conversation between the agent and the GM. If the player doesnt speak in the conversation they arent participating in it. It is a grey area and a loophole. However after conversations with Bex it was decided it be best if I didnt exploit that.

If you have a client that you know will be a FA after the season, what rules are you breaking if you go to a GM and say "hey, Cue is gonna be a FA after this season, do you have interest? What kind of contract are you able to offer? What plan would you have if he signed?"

No need for the player to be there. And even if you can't submit the offer to the player while he's still under contract, at least you have the basis for a proposition you can submit to your client as soon as FA starts.

It is in the actual agent rules. It is stated in the rules that players have to be present for all contract negotiations.
