Some quick mafs would suggest that this means the player's career isn't extended artificially (unless they use the pass when they would have been auto-retired otherwise; and tbh this is only valuable if you're going for volume records imo) while still providing tangible benefit to the pass. For example, you earn 150 TPE per season. You have two seasons over 1k, and retire after 13. Let's say you use the pass after your third regression (i.e. prior to starting your 10th season). You get an extra season above 1k TPE, then drop to roughly 50 TPE lower than you would have otherwise for your 12th year, and still retire after 14 seasons. I impersonate a programmer for a living
