I wonder what team was so insecure about their own players wanting to play for them, that they pushed for tampering in the DSFL? What’s he gunna do? leave in FA? It’s the DSFL

As it was a public instance of tampering, DSFL HO can investigate it without BB reporting it. There's multiple BB alumni in this thread criticising the decision.

If there is no process for a player in the DSFL to leave one team for another (outside of those teams making a trade with each other), why is tampering a thing in the DSFL? What negative thing could have possibly arose from LB's comment? Are we afraid the player he "tampered" is going to request a trade? Last I checked, GM's are allowed to say no to trades.

I think HO has made it pretty obvious that if you even make a joke about playing for a team in media or twitter that its going to be considered tampering and punished. This is like the 3rd or 4th so it should be obvious not to do it

Just tell someone to retire or demand a trade in general chat and they'll just look over it. Duh.

technically this is not true per IV.A.1 (emphasis mine):

"Tampering is defined as a player or GM approaching a player under contract with another team or whose rights are owned by another team, with the purpose of persuading them to join your team, request a trade, or hold out on contract negotiations.
a) This includes any private discussion involving leaving the team with whom the player is under contract with the purpose of joining the offender's team."
