The biggest bust in NSFL is Lincoln Jefferson. He was originally drafted by the Arizona Outlaws in the inaugural S1 draft. The Outlaws drafted him in the fourth round, nineteenth overall. Lincoln Jefferson entered the league as a WR and found great success at the position. He was even a key member of the team as they won their first Ultimis Championship at the end of S1. However, he's a bust because of what happened next. Lincoln Jefferson had his sights set higher, and left the Outlaws to become a founding member of the Philadelphia Liberty. The Outlaws got nothing in return for losing Lincoln Jefferson. Lincoln Jefferson converted to safety to be a better fit in Philadelphia. He played several forgettable seasons in Philadelphia. Teammates and everyone around Lincoln Jefferson began to see that his heart was no longer in the sport though. After the Liberty traded Jefferson back to the Arizona Outlaws, Jefferson announced his retirement. Spurning the team that drafted him in S1 yet again. The Arizona Outlaws ended up subsequently trading Lincoln Jefferson to the San Jose Sabercats where the safety ended his career and faded into obscurity as nothing more than a footnote in NSFL history.
