HO made a decision to resim. If this was an error caused by updaters, then by following a policy of leniency, by extension this falls to HO as well. Since it was not caused by Austin, will there be a resim *any* time we find there is a breakdwon in the updating process, or what constitutes a resim in this specific instance? Simply the quantity of TPE not updated?

You're trying to place blame, but in reality, there is no way of knowing where the breakdown occurred. There are multiple stages that things could've gone wrong at, and in the past, something has gone wrong at every one of those stages. So the only option we have is to double check that all procedures are being followed, fix errors that we find, and move on.

So the W/L was kept the same as the sim with the errors? Because that's what you said in OP:

Due to a few errors in the updating process, Austin was left with 3 key players missing roughly 226 TPE. Because of this, HO has decided that the week 1 game between Austin and NOLA must be resimmed. Unfortunately, due to the limitations of our sim, that also means that every other game must be resimmed as well. The end result of each game was kept the same, except for the Austin/NOLA game obviously, but stats will change.

If teams had errors, and the errors required that the result of Austin's game be resimmed, then the results of the games from the other teams with errors should also be resimmed, without keeping the results the same as the file with errors. It just doesn't make sense to only do it for Austin, unless the errors for the other teams are deemed immaterial. If that's the case, what were those errors, and what were the differences that caused Austin's errors to be deemed material enough to constitute resimmed results, but the other teams' errors were not?

That is what's called an error in my wording. I meant to say that the only game that the end result changed was the Austin/NOLA game, but all games affected were resimmed.

No, I'm trying to figure out what conditions constitute a resim. If Austin made a mistake and gets a resim, then other GMs should be made aware of this. If it's updaters making a mistake, well, we should know why the update was done wrong, and if that is a condition that might happen again, so that we can be on the lookout for that again, and fix it before a resim is required.

100%. And instead of sleeping, that's what I spent all last night trying to do, figure out what went wrong, and I know I wasn't the only member of HO to do so. No one in HO ever wants a resim, and we're trying to figure out what we can change to stop this from ever happening again. Unfortunately, this a league run by humans, and humans make mistakes.

As far as a hard set resim criteria, there isn't one, but it's something we're working on. It can't be a set number, say 50 TPE, for example, because 50 TPE means a lot more to a 150 TPE player than a 1000 TPE player. Or X number of players, because a QB, for example is far more valuable than a backup running back. So as of right now, it's on a case by case basis.
