The graphics team look at your signatures together. The consensus was that although you used the same style assets were not reused and therefore it should have no bearing on your grades.

The NFL requirements have been removed from the grade scale except for the most exceptional of signature, however the consensus among the graphics graders was that cut, swap and text issues still leave each signature at a 3/7.

Contested Sig(s): just this one, think it should be a 4 according to rubric. Did a color swap to neutral colors since I wasn't on a team, render cut I believe is good for the most part, changed background to be a football field and added lighting effects, etc. I understand if its not enough, thought I'd try to plead my case anyway

The consensus among the graphics team was this graphic was on the very edge of being either a 3 or a 4. We decided to go with a 4.
Some positives: The render is well cut and the background/tunnel create a very nice aesthetic!
Some things to work on: The football looks very out of place in this. It's a great idea, but the lighting was not edited and the quality of the football image used is lacking in comparison to the rest of the assets. The text was also a little brighter than the star on the shield making it a little noticeable that it was photoshopped onto the image.

Contested Sig(s): First, for sure, I feel the rest are also too low except maybe the second. This is based on the work done that appears to go unnoticed. I feel I’m being downgraded for doing to much with the background but the amount of layers and work done shouldn’t go unnoticed even if it isn’t up to your tastes. I get my fonts aren’t as cool but I use Gimp and my computer has issues downloading outside fonts and eco wasn’t able to fix it. I personally still feel like the render is the focal point of these sigs but understand others feel different. I edited things that I think aren’t even noticed cuz I did a good job on them. The laszlo sig had a tan jacket that I think the graded thinks I just pasted and The exotic sig has a tattoo added that I thought should’ve been noted. I feel my swaps are very good. But alas, I just want these looked at and I’ll stand by the arbitration.

You put together some really interesting components in these signatures. It was agreed that they were all at least on the 4/7 level. The big things to work on would be the composition of the components and adding depth the them. Things like making lighting consistent in a way that makes it look likes it's coming from obvious sources. A great example of that comes from sig 2 which is one of the reasons it's a 5, whereas sig 4 is on the opposite end of the spectrum.

You do some great work on the renders with your swaps and cuts, I can see you getting 5's+ consistently very easily once the composition stuff is figured out!

The graders determined that the signatures are similar enough to warrant them being the same grades. As for the grade, during approval they were each increased from 1 to 2. The graders believe that 2 is a fair grade for these.

Please wait for approval before submitting your graphics for arbitration. The graders determined that the approved grades of 3/7 instead of 2/7 are accurate for these graphics. There is obvious effort with these signatures, but in order to receive a higher grade in the future some things you could do are remove the NFL logos/team names, integrate the background with the render, make the text more visible and distinct while blending it in with the render.
