Well this is it. Franklin Armstrong of the Portland Pythons
and Orange County Otters
finally hangs it up.
When I entered the league, I had one goal; to have fun. I didn’t want to be the next generic pocket passer but something slightly different and exciting. I think I accomplished my goal. This has been such an amazing and fulfilling NSFL (ISFL?) career and Armstrong accomplished pretty much everything that I was hoping for. I couldn’t have asked for a better career than I was lucky to have with Franklin.
I have many users I’d like to thank for their role in Armstrong’s career:
First off I have to start with my GMs, @speculadora, @Laser, and @Revolution5. My job was to earn TPE but you guys did the rest. You folks seriously deserve most of the credit. I wasn’t the one testing late at night or in the early hours of the morning and trying to balance the needs of the team with my weird demands. Sorry for my constant complaining about stats and thank you for indulging in my incessant need for rushing numbers. #Legstrong forever.
I’d like to thank all my Otters teammates over the years including guys like @MrStennett, @scorycory, @jeffie43, @NylarthePhoenix, @qWest, @LGMForever, @BigKicks, @TeyonSchavari, @Rising Equinox, and many more. You guys made it fun. Thank you!
Thank you to my first GMs on the Portland Pythons @PSanchez55 and @Toasty. You guys kept me active when I nearly quit the league in the beginning. Also thanks for drafting me in the 11th round in the S14 DSFL Draft
S14 Ultimini Champs!
@Bzerkap (Mat Akselsen) and @AW13 (Joliet Christ). You guys were the OGs. Thanks for the inspiration and the advice. Armstrong was just following your players.
@PigSnout, thanks for all the timely updates. @nunccoepi and @Daybe for convincing me it was okay to create as a QB and recruiting me to the league (you probably don’t remember this).
@White Cornerback thanks for funding my NSFL career. You’re hilarious and a legend. Thanks for all the work you do on the wiki.
@enigmatic, @Blueline, @MN_Moosey, @Number 82, @xQCFamous and more who made me so many awesome sigs and graphics throughout Armstrong’s career.
@infinitempg, @iamslm22, @timeconsumer, @Molarpistols, @Raven, @TomHanks, @Frick_Nasty, @124715 (Numbers), @shadyshoelace, @Trautner, @BWIII, @LordMacharius, @SDCore, @soryantyler, @jsteele14, @BayleyIsland (and possibly more I’m forgetting) just cause you’re awesome. Hope you guys stay in the league for a long time.
Thank you to Charles M. Schulz who created the character Franklin Armstrong in 1968, the first African American character in the Peanuts comic strip. Also to Warren Moon one of the best QBs in NFL history.
And finally thank you to the next man up @Blasoon. I wish you the best of luck in your career. Hope you have as much fun with Suleiman Ramza as I had with Franklin Armstrong. Go get the Otters some more rings.
