So I will admit, I need a lot of monies. Been in debt for like 3 weeks, but luckily since the media grading team is fast, I hopefully will get monies soon. But three seasons, have passed since the start of the Sarasota v Honolulu matchups, and an odd number means someone must be doing better than the other, so let's look back, and see which team is the better fish.
SEASON 22
No recorded matchup between the Sarasota Sailfish and Honolulu Hahalua. This was in the weird era the 13 games, so not all teams actually played each other. In terms of actual performances, Sarasota finished in the 3rd place in the NSFC, with a 6-7 record, where they were eliminated by the Colorado Yeti, 14-36. Honolulu on the other hand, unfortunately, ended with a 4-9 record, getting last in the ASFC.
You could say that the Sailfish won this season, but since they did not play each other, this season will not count, but at the end was a very good starting season for both teams.
SEASON 23
Finally, the two teams played each other for the first time this season. With the switch to the 16 game season (Yay), every team played each other at least once, so they finally got their chance. It was a dark night in Sarasota, for Week 6 of the NSFL Football, where the fishbowl debuted. Sarasota took the 17-23 win, but it really was a tale of two halves. Sarasota scored 23 straight points in the first two halves. Dexter Banks threw two touchdown passes to. Rayne Gordon and Michael Witheblock. Even Dax Frost(now known as Raphtalia Chan) managed to get a one yard touchdown. To finish off the first half, Corvo Havran was tackled for a safety, and Sarasota went into the locker room happy. But then, but then the Honolulu offense started heating up. Ruff Ruff with a 4 yd run, Venus Powers with a 45 yd field goal, and in the 4th quarter, Havran got a 20 yd pass to Rookie William Alexander, but it was not enough, and like previously said, Sarasota takes a win.
Player of the Game was given to Dax Frost for 90 yds and 1 TD, averaging a 5 yds per carry and Heinrich Kackpoo who got two sacks, and 9 Tackles.
Sarasota 1-0 Honolulu
In terms of how each teams' season went, both teams finished 5th in their respective conferences. Sarasota finished with an 8-8 record, narrowly missing the playoffs by a win, while Honolulu finished 7-9, losing out on the playoffs, on the last matchday. (Hopefully does not happen this season). But when you look deeper, Sarasota finished with a -62 point differential, while Honolulu finished with a -5 PD. Both teams still having good seasons, and slowly developing, waiting for their third season.
SEASON 24
Now time for Season 24. Technically, it is not done, but Season 24 ending today, and Sarasota and Honolulu have already played this season. This time, the fish bowl was played in Honolulu, and Honolulu went and took the 27-20 win in Week 11. Once again Sarasota went for a quick start, to lead 13-0. From Raphtalia Chan scoring a 4 yd TD, and two field goals by Jacob Small. But before the first half ended, Venus Powers went in and got a field goal of her own, to leave it 13-3. To begin the first quarter, Skywalker and Dexter Banks traded touchdowns to leave it 20-10, and Venus Power kicked in another field goal to leave it 20-13. But then Nicolas Ayers caught on fire. He scored a 1 yd and a 7 yd rushing touchdown, to get Honolulu the win. Dexter Banks and Jayson Kearse were both Player of the Games, and the series was tied at
Honolulu 1 - Sarasota 1.
Both games were won in the home field so that does not tell us much. But, Honolulu had the higher combined PD, winning by 7 points in game 2, and losing by 6 points in Game 1, so Honolulu best fish. Now just a quick recap of how S24 has been. Sarasota broke out this season, currently 11-4, good enough for second in the conference, clinching playoffs. Honolulu on the other hand has been shifting between in and out of playoffs and will be fighting for the last playoff spot, currently at 8-7. They will play @ Austin, so will be a hard game.
TLDR
So to conclude, Honolulu best fish, but next season will be interesting, as both teams will play for the third time, and someone will take the lead in the matchup. Also, I have no idea what I wrote, so if it does not make sense, then sorry.
