Hello ISFL!

I know what you’re thinking: “Bex we just got a newsletter, why the heck are you doing this again so soon?” Well, I can’t help it, we just have so much exciting news that it can’t wait for the season open newsletter. So let it happen.

LEAGUE WEEK IS CHANGING
As you know, the league week has always been a bit off, with AC and training resetting on Saturday nights, but PTs and other things closing on Sundays. WELL NO MORE! From here on out, the league will be running Monday to Sunday on everything possible. This most immediately means that you’ll want to look for new AC posts on Mondays now, not Sundays. We understand this might take some getting used to, but we hope this helps in the long run!

COMMITING TO SIM CHANGE
Yes, I know that in the last newsletter we mentioned we were “investigating” the new sim. We had been looking into it behind the scenes prior to when we announced, and after a ton of phenomenal work from the transfer team, we’re committed to working to change sims. Currently, our timeline is to have the first ISFL season in DDSPF 21 for season 27. We’ve given the finer details of this transfer plan to GMs, and will be working as a league leadership body to get things in order for a smooth transition.

OFFSEASON POINT TASK
As you may know, there is no wiki update PT this offseason. To replace that task, there will be a 5 TPE special PT posted at the beginning of the week to make up for that! We look forward to reading your responses on the prompt we have selected!

PHILLY HIRING
Some of you have heard already, but HO has decided to hire Pat, aka @punter715 We want to once again thank the amazing folks who applied. We’re excited to have a fresh face stepping up for this opportunity and look forward to seeing what he can achieve in this role.

HO HIRING
We’ve had two phenomenal interns in HO this season. Jpach has been kicking butt as the head of our sim transfer team, and r0tzbua has been an amazing help with some behind the scenes projects. I want to thank both from the bottom of my heart for all of their effort this season, as I and the rest of HO have been very impressed. With the departure of Exilizer from Head Office this offseason, we’ll be hiring @r0tzbua as a full member of HO, and extending jpach for a second intern year. We’re excited for both of these amazing members of the league to continue to do good as part of Head Office.

We’re taking HO intern applications at this time. If you’re interested in an HO internship, please reach out to a member of HO with information about you, your sim league background, what you think you have to offer HO at this time, and what projects or improvements you’d like to work on given the chance.
