This season is a big change for me. I have made the jump from the DSFL to the ISFL, from the Grey Ducks to the Butchers. I have gone from being one of the highest TPE players on the Ducks, and on of the teams best players, to being the lowest TPE on the Butchers defense. The thing that has not changed though is my ability to make big plays when they are needed most. My rookie debut for the Butchers I forced a Fumble and recovered it, at a key moment that allowed us to score. I didn’t do much by way of tackles but I laid some big hits down and like I said, knocked the ball out. The other moment came in overtime when the Hawks were driving. 3rd and 7 I blitzed and sacked Fujiwara forcing a punt and ending their comeback hopes. So I was able to make a few splash plays at key moments similar to the way I did last season. I guess that ability to make plays at key moments is not based on TPE, I only hope the sim allows me to keep it up all season. The change in performance from my final DSFL season to my first isfl game isn’t drastic as I played well in my debut. I just have to hope to keep it up and try to repeat a safety of the year award back to back in the DSFL and in the ISFl.

The Berlin Fire Salamanders have enjoyed a fruitful offseason. Firstly, they suffered very little regression, with cornerback Asher Quinn the only casualty. Secondly, their existing players have added a ton of TPE, most notably QB Nick Kaepercolin who after a tough debut season, is finally looking like a franchise QB. Thirdly, they added a number of weapons from the draft. With their first pick, they drafted and immediately called up BamBam McMullet, a speedy linebacker who'll be filling in at Defensive End this season. Also called up were 2nd year players Ananda Adyan to fill a desperate need on the offensive line, and cornerback Jeeeeroy Lenkins. Both players benefited from an extra year of DSFL development, so Berlin heads into S26 looking very well balanced on both sides of the ball with their additions.
On a personal level, Swantavius Jones has been studying the game tape hard over the offseason. With the DB corps full to the brim, the head coach informed Jones that he would be playing a more tackle heavy position this year, so he's also been putting in extra time on the training ground to work on his tackling. Jones was quoted as saying that he feels as strong, smart and fast as it's possible for a cornerback like him to be, so let's see if that translates to on field success for Berlin.
Adam C. Spencer has improved as a wide receiver in the offseason and it may or may not be a coincidence that the team's offense has also done so. After a tumultuous rookie season that led many outside the organization to wonder if the aging veteran rookie was going to make it, a pre-season explosion caught the notice of some around the league. With New Orleans clearly trending towards a bigger passer attack than in previous years, Spencer looks to be a key cog in that future. Scouting tape says that he is notably fast and more agile coming out of the blocks, where he runs crisper routes than his rookie season. Ben Slothlisberger already began to trust the soft, sure hands of the rookie as the year progressed, and it looks as though that trend continues.
If the offense continues to make strides, it could catch a fiery hot defense who came out and showed they were on another level in week 1. The secondary especially stepped up, earning a league record number of passes defended and a slightly above average amount of interceptions against Easton Cole during their game. They went up to a 21-0 lead before the mysterious glitches in the broadcast and then held on to win in OT after the Copperheads gained 21 points when no one was watching. New Orleans is showing the potential to be a very dangerous team. And all of it comes back to the obviously integral 3rd Wide Receiver. ![]()
William Lim is entering the prime years of his career. He just cracked the 1000 TPE mark this offseason, and currently sits at max attributes in every significant stats bar endurance. Coming off two straight years of 1000+ receiving yards, 10+ receiving touchdowns and significant contention to the wide receiver of the year award, it is expected of him to have another good season.
There had been some big changes in the team surrounding him, though. While the Yeti, coming off of two straight hearbreaking ultimus losses, are still in shape for title contention especially with their new free agent additions to the defense this offseason, saw a change in the most important position. Wolfie McDummy, who had been Yeti signal caller since S17, hung up his cleats this offseason after a long amd illustrious career. His void will be filled by Mattathias Caliban, who had been preparing for this in the DSFL for several seasons. Many people expects Caliban to struggle this season, since he had just been called up. However, Caliban did very well in his waiting in DSFL, and stacked up almost 750TPE, which is impressive for a player his age. He also has a very good supporting cast consisting of 2 elite wide receivers including Lim and 2 elite running backs in their prime years. Hise weapons should be really helpful in easing the rookie in. William Lim now enters the new season as Caliban's surefire number 1 target . And while several experts expects his production to drop off because of aforementioned changes, Lim is quite confident that he will do just as well as other seasons since he got confidence in his team and himself. ![]() ![]() ![]() [OPTION](S31) GP:14 | Yds: 3360 | Cmp%: 60% | Lg: 64 | TD: 20 | Int: 13 | QRB: 81.8
