(S26) - PT 2 - You Sit on a Throne of Lies

Oh boy, time to overreact! So I.... well, I kinda suck. So, I got about one tackle. Which I guess is fine, everyone has bad days. But of the four preseason games, i was basically a non-factor in two of those as well. I get that i’m a defensive tackle, so I’m not gonna be making any huge plays in games or getting a bunch of stats, but 1? Really? A bot made more tackles than me, and they weren’t even a denesive lineman. I don’t know what i did wrong, but it’s something I need to fix, and hopefully the TPE from this will help. I’m not exactly sure what the issue is. Sure, i’m not at the top of the depth chart, but in most plays there’s two DT’s, so that shouldn’t matter. I guess I shouldn’t be too focused on the stat line though, it just feels like i’m letting down my team. Because even in the one of the most important thing for DT’s to do, stopping inside runs, I wasn’t great at doing that as well. All in all something needs to change. I’ve swapped my archetype, which hopefully should help fix things a bit, but we’ll see. I can only hope the two games tommorow go better than the first one.

After a terrible last season for both the Wraiths and Zee Rechs, this season has gone much better. First, let's talk about Zee and how much he has improved. Last season, Zee had less than 350 yards receiving, to go along with 3 touchdowns and 38 pancakes. That put him pretty far down on the list of tight end performances. After 4 games this season, Zee is on pace for just over 650 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 40 pancakes. That’s a significant improvement over last year, and includes a game this season where Zee inexplicably failed to catch a single ball. I’m confident that Zee can do even better than that, and while TEoTY is probably out of reach, maybe Breakout Player of the Year is a possibility? While we are talking about improvements, the Wraiths are currently 3-1 (3-0 in conference.) After a great offseason where they added some young talent on both sides of the ball and put in some working getting that sweet TPE, the Wraiths appear to be a much better team this season. Yes, they have a tough stretch of games coming up, but so far this season is going much better than last season’s 7-9 ending. I’m firmly convinced that the Wraiths will be a playoff contender by the end of this season.

Welp, it's time for an overreaction of the highest form. Not only is my player, David Rector, on pace for a historic season at CB he is quite possibly going to not only earn pro bowl nods at both CB and returner, but also will win Cornerback of the Year, Performance of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and will be in contention of MVP. The Secondline had a disappointing start to the season as we lost our week 2 matchup at home in a game we tested at almost 80% for, but then we came back and won 2 road games in a row to finish out the first week of games at 3-1. Meanwhile, my player has 4 interceptions, 13 pass deflections, and 1 of those interceptions was a pick six. He is leading the league in both interceptions and pass deflections and is one of 8 players with a defensive touchdown. I really hope the interceptions keep up as well as the PD's as it would be awesome to hit double digit interceptions and 30 Pass Deflections. The likelihood of that is really low, but a man can dream. Not only has my player been a monster on defense, but he's also been a good returner as well. Currently leading the league with a 20.3 punt return average as well as one of two players with a punt return touchdown. He's not as strong with the kick returning, but he does have a 49 yard long kick return, which is respectable. After many seasons of being just a decent CB I hope this is finally my year to be one of the best.

For the first week of the DSFL teams like the Bondi Beach Buccaneers look like world beaters again just like pretty much every year and look like a lock for the playoffs, though whether or not they keep this momentum going for the rest of the year remains to be seen. Dallas looks good as well but still has some questions about them since they only beat the Coyotes by 2. My team the London Royals look like they have lost a bit of a step after losing to the Phythons, but I think they will get better as the year goes on. Speaking of Phythons they look like a pretty well run team after basically blowing out my Royals.

As for my player Tsuyu Asui, she already has more catches then her waiver year but I admittedly don't see her winning any awards because of the many wide receivers that have more TPE than her because of them being send downs. I just see her slowly improving over the season and maybe start to win awards next season if she ends up as a send down which I think is definitely a possibility. It was definitely an interesting start to the season and I expect fireworks this season.
