Chuck Roth Big Suck Now. The reigning DSFL defensive tackle of the year is having difficulty adjusting to the big leagues of the ISFL. through four whole games, chuck has only managed 11 tackles and a single sack. On the bright side, his first two tackles were both on the orange county otters' tatsu nakamura, chuck's DSFL GM, and the first sack was on Sam Howitzer, who's blind side Chuck spent a season protecting, before he witched from offensive line to defensive tackle. The narrative of chuck's stats is nice but the numbers themselves have been pedestrian, and chuck will need to earn a TON more TPE before being the game breaking defensive tackle that dominated the DSFL again. 

While that's not great, Arizona this season has been far, far worse. Sitting at 1-3 on the season, with losses to a hopeless New Orleans Second Line, and a second season New York Silverback squad that still has many holes. These loses both stung, but the real killer was the close loss to the orange county otters at home. With the lone bright spot on the season being the win over the san jose sabercats, Arizona has a long way to go until they reach their potential this season. With a schedule that is getting slightly easier as we continue on through the season, hopefully The Outlaws can reach the heights that a team with their TPE should reach.

After tasting consistent success for the first time in his career last season, Smoothie has been wildly drunk with chasing that standard again especially on the back of a disappointing result in the Ultimus finals. For all the promises of a guaranteed ring that convinced him to leave behind his first ISFL home of Philadelphia, Smoothie has found himself looking for greener pastures seeing how the Yeti are not the powerhouse that they were during his first few seasons in the DSFL and then ISFL. It’ll be a tough choice because it’s clear it’s a tight group but with the retirement of McDummy, the much vaunted passing attack has shed some age and needs some time to grow and relies heavily on the duo of Darrel Williams and Richard Gilbert who have been great. Still, a lot to ask of just the running game though apparently other kittycat teams have found success somehow with that formula.

Orange County looks like they haven’t skipped a beat, having gone through their own initial transition from lifelong quarterback starter to a new face of the offense in Suleiman Ramza. Their defense looks to be on the aging side in a few spots but that just might be the exact opportunity a new comer would want, being surrounded by talent so that they can coast to a few guaranteed rings, if guaranteed is ever a thing.

On an individual level, I feel that Juan Domine has had a stellar start to his 2nd season as the starting linebacker for the Chicago Butchers. For the most part, he is replicating his level of success from last season that saw him finish just outside of a Pro Bowl spot with the exception of one key metric. Buoyed in large part by a three sack performance against the perennial contenders Colorado Yeti, Domine has already reached 40% of his Season 25 sack totals through just 25% of the season and was leading the league after Week 2.

Our team is performing about as well as expected, so instead I'll react on behalf of another team. The Berlin Fire Salamanders should be in contention for the NSFC conference title, but they have fallen flat so far this season. On paper, this team has everything that they need to clinch a playoff berth (and potentially even an Ultimus), but their Season 26 campaign has been an abject failure so far. Hopeful Fire Salamander fans will point out that three of their four losses have occurred away from home, and the final loss to Chicago was due to a heartbreaking touchdown as time expired. No matter--championship teams cannot settle for winning their home games and losing their away games. After last season's expansion, fewer than half of the league's teams make the playoffs, so going 8-8 (or worse) is not sufficient to fulfill a team's title hopes.

Looking at the start of the season for the Honolulu Hahalua you actually can't but not overreact. Being 0-4 is nothing the team expected, they were going into the season full of hope to achieve their first playoff run after nearly getting there last season. Even the general consensus of the league looking at season predictions seemed to have them at least in the playoff hunt and not as the worst team in the ASFC. But as it often happens with predictions a lot of them are pretty wrong. Even though they went 4-0 in Preseason (which a lot of people will tell you means nothing) Honolulu sits at 0-4 after the first weeks of the season and lost three home games. The last two games weren't even close with total losses, while the first two they still had a chance. Does this mean the season is over before it even really started? I personally don't think so. While the road ahead to a comeback and maybe grabbing one of these elusive playoff berths may not be easy, it is totally not unheard of to do it. Honolulu's team is not bad, it's just missing a bit of luck and will develop as the season goes on, seeing that a lot of their players are still young and are performing well on the field, so there is a lot of promise there that this season could still end well and I am a strong believer in making that happen and that the Hahalua will grab their playoff berth this season for the first time in team history.

What a slow start to PickSix II's career. It's almost a carbon copy of what his father achieved in the DSFL for the first 6 weeks as well.

After torching onto the scene with the best prospect game in history, PickSix II finished his first week of professional football action with only PD to his name. While he did register a few tackles and helped the defense secure its very first win as the Bondi Beach Buccs, PickSix nonetheless was none too pleased about his on field performance.

PickSix II has vowed that he will continue to work out and learn the defensive schemes in time for the next few weeks in the hopes that the team will use him in a way where he can undercut receivers in the zone and do what he was simply designed to do and be a ball hawk on underthrown passes.

While PickSix's slow start could be blamed on his conditioning, the attitude and the will is definitely there, he is frequently seen in the gyms around town and is usually one of the first people to arrive for practice, staying late to watch opposing QBs tendencies in the film room. Only time will tell if this first round pick has what it takes to be a true superstar at this stage of his early career.

It is time to overreact to Douglas Quaid’s slow start, this is also a continuation of a mediocre season from the last. As the highest TPE linebacker in the ISFL with a maxed out speed rusher build he should be playing like a Mo Berry level GOD right now. I’m talking about one sack per game at minimum. He should be a seasonal candidate from LB of the year and even Defensive player of the year. Many have speculated that Quaid got fat, lazy and unmotivated after his defensive breakout player of the year award in season 23. He’s been showing up to practice so that can’t be the reason. Perhaps his knees are shot. Offensive tackles have said that Quaid doesn’t get around the corner as quickly as he used to. By the time Quaid gets into the backfield the QB has already thrown the ball or handed it off to his running back. I think it is safe to say the sim Gods do not smile upon Quaid. Each position has a handful of players that are usually blessed with one fantastic performance after another. Take current LB superstar Wilf from the Outlaws, he’s been absolutely dominant with the same exact style of play as Quaid. Quaid is prepared to take drastic measures to break his curse. Live on Youtube Quaid plans to take his $5M salary for the season and burn it on a bonfire as an offering to the sim gods. (245 words)
