Overreacting: My favorite pastime. Unfortunately, my player has not met expectations at all this year and is falling behind fast in the race to be one of the better DSFL quarterbacks. Last season, my player had a solid first year where he started out strong but slowed down at the end. He still played well and looked like a possible MVP candidate for the next season. In terms of those expectations, the year has started as a complete disaster. My player is at or near the bottom in almost every metric of passing and it has cost his team dearly. The Ducks have one of the better defenses in the league yet are still only 2-2 as a result of their quarterback play. As a second year player, my player was expecting to come out firing. Instead, he has not shown an ability to stretch the field frequently throwing passes no more than 5-7 yards. He has made his receivers around him more into blockers than pass catchers, and his defense no longer feels like they can rely on him to be the playmaker they deserve. He has turned into a hand off machine which he should as it feeds the best players the ball in times where they need it. This year is over for my player in terms of personal success, but hopefully he doesn’t mess up too bad and affects the team.

Chet Larson is the definition of a middling starter based on his opening slate stats.
He has: 16 tackles, which he knew would be low considering he's the slower of the main Linebackers at Bondi. 5 tackles for loss, highlighting he is getting to the ball carrier in the backfield, breaking blocks and making moves. But only one sack to date which is slightly disappointing. 3 passes defenced is definitely not nothing but not quite the impact he had hoped for. He does have a block punt which is a novelty. All in all this low tackle build should be performing slightly better in terms of sacks and possibly PDs. But really what this means Is poor usage and scheme set up by the boffins running the team in Bondi. @Thor and NTG would know how to manage a front 7 let alone a second level if it hit them in the face. Highlighted by a mediocre 2 and 2 start of the season, many in the LR are wondering if the ozy dynamic duo have what it takes t bring a championship to Thier new home. The jet lag from the I'll advised move south is making things harder, but once home game season is back. Then that will start working on our visitors not us. Mediocre start to the season but still the potential for both Chet to flourish and Bondi to dominate.
Just for the sake of this task, I'll be writing this from the perspective of me prior to Friday's game against Yellowknife.
Sarasota is winning the Ultimus. The Defense is playing lights out, the offense is rolling, and morale in the locker room is at an all time high. We've rolled off multiple tough road wins, and, although we have multiple tough games ahead, I'm confident we'll be able to end up first in the conference and can take home Sarasota's first ever Ultimus championship. Mike Boss Jr will win MVP. Like his father before him, Mike Boss Jr is playing like the greatest quarterback of all time. His first couple weeks were rough, but he was able to bounce back and has gone on an incredible tear the past few weeks. I know he'll be able to keep this performance up and will lead us far into the playoffs. I will win DToTY. This has been a special season for me so far. I've managed to produce at a very high level at my new position and lead all DTs in tackles, TFLs, and am 1 behind the DT sack leader. After multiple seasons of subpar linebacker play, I'm happy to be contributing to the team and racking up stats. ![]() ![]() ![]() Jayson Kearse - DE

After 7 games it is confirmed, Rich Triplet is a BUST. The corner was taken with the final pick in the S25 draft, and unlike most of his classmates in that round was allowed one season down in the DSFL. After claiming an ultimini and a campaign that could have arguably been nominated for CBOTY. Rich went to the media and claimed he had high aspirations to achieve rookie of the year in the ISFL with the San Jose Sabercats. However, coming to the midpoint of the season Rich Triplet has only managed to gather 33 tackles with one for a loss, one interception and four pass deflections. Not exactly rookie of the year numbers especially against some of the competition such as Utterstruzen and Blackfyre. When asked about this Rich declined to comment and simply left the locker room visibly upset. According to sources inside San Jose Rich has been using this disappointing season as motivation to improve more, they claim he has put in the extra effort you usually see from vets in the league such as meeting with HOF corner Dermot Lavelle and his son for private workouts. Rich on the stat sheet isn’t showing up but he is putting in the work to be there someday. There is still half a season for Rich to turn things around but as far as mid-season goes Rich is not looking like the first round pick he was taken as.
This Philadelphia Liberty offense is god awful. Maybe some people decided to pick up their kicker, Jake Fencik in fantasy because they thought that the Liberty weren't good enough to score touchdowns. Those people were half right, the Liberty are also not good enough to even get in field goal range. The special teams coordinator insists on punting from the the opponent's 31 yard line instead of kicking a 48 yard field goal. The Liberty rank last in the league for passing yards, passing touchdowns, pass attempts, and completions. And that is just in passing. In receiving, Philadelphia's receiving leader has less yards than the leading Chicago receiver, the top 3 Sarasota receivers, the leading Berlin receiver, the top 2 Baltimore receivers, the leading New York receiver, the leading Honolulu receiver, the top 2 Arizona receivers, the top 2 Austin receivers, the leading Colorado receiver, the leading Yellowknife receiver, the leading New Orleans receiver, the top 2 Orange County receivers, and the top 2 San Jose receivers. And if you think that at least they should have a running game you would be mistaken as their leading rusher has less yards than either the #1, or #1 and #2 leading rushers of 10 teams.

This has been a rollercoaster season for many of the players, Tony Yeboah included. This is his first season in the ISFL so he was looking forward to it and through the first five games he was proving he belonged. He had twenty six tackles, four sacks and two interceptions. Numbers, which if he had kept up, could have led to a nomination for DROTY. In the next two games since he has had a combined three tackles. Going by his play at the start of the season I feel confident in saying that he’ll be a good player in this league for a long time.
His team, the Baltimore Hawks, have had much more downs than ups in their season so far. With a record of 2-5 they’re currently joint bottom of their division. I may be biased but i definitely don’t think they’re one of the worst teams in the league. They’re currently 0-3 at home which will hopefully change soon as they can’t go the whole season without a win at home. The offense and defence are both roughly middle of the pack in most stats, which obviously doesn’t translate to a 2-5 record. A lot of people seem to think of the Hawks as one of the worst teams if not the worst in the league. I would say this is a big overreaction. I’m not going to say they’re one of the best teams in the league but I definitely believe they’re better than their current record shows. ![]()
Here we are nearly halfway through the S26 season, and the Baltimore Hawks cornerback Eldrick Avery seems to finally be turning things around. His issues with drops throughout his career (high school, college, DSFL, and ISFL) have been very well documented. Avery set the ISFL record for a defensive back by going 35 consecutive games without logging a single interception. After a solid rookie season where he managed 2 picks, Avery did not manage to snag a single INT for the next 2 seasons of his career. This was right on brand for Avery after he was forced to switch positions in high school from wide receiver to defensive back after he set the national record for most drops in a season. But things finally seem to be turning around for Avery. He managed to grab 4 picks in the S25 season, and he has followed that with a strong start to the S26 season. He grabbed a pick in the season opener, and has since added another. While 2 interceptions through 7 games may not seem like all that much, it absolutely is for Avery, as this will be his 2nd consecutive season for the Hawks where he managed to make some big plays for his defense. At this rate, Avery could either be well on his way to cornerback of the year honours (lets just ignore David Rector), or he could be on his way to another massive INTless streak (it's now been 3 games since his last piack).
