For the best offensive linemen award, it should go to the boy Rico-Shea. The big man up front has been on fire as of late coming in clutch for Tijuana. Shea has held down the trenches for the Tijuana getting 37 pancakes right now and not giving up a single sack in the process. Tijuana is also a run-heavy team and they moistly run behind the big tackle to be able to break off their big runs to gain a lot of yards. Looking at Shea some might say he has not had a lot of pancakes. To that, I say the big man is so agile he is able to set the edge for runs and is also getting up to the second level using his agility and brute strength to stop linebackers and defensive backs. Shea is the workhorse for the offense. Taking on all the best defensive linemen in the league and stonewalling every single one of them that tries to get through him. Without Shea, Tijuana gets nowhere. Their run game would never get off the ground and their quarterback is getting sacked by almost every player. He has been the silent guardian of the offense and should be recognized for his actions and hard work that he puts in every single day at practice and during game day.
My first thought after lookinhg over the ISFL record books for this season is that Luke Skywalker should be MVP. Twenty-Four touchdowns to Six interceptions with a with a 103.1 QBR is pretty impressive off the bat. His league leading 69 (Nice).2 completion percentage is also really good so I think he's almost a lock for the MVP award. I know it's cliche to give the MVP award to a QB but I don't see anyone who I'd give it to over him at this point in the season.
In terms of Defensive Player of the year, I might be going out on a limb here but I think I'd vote for Derred de Ville he has ten sacks which is two less then the lead but he has 67 tackles to the sack leader's 56 so that puts him ahead of Rusty Rucker in my mind. Colt Mendoza could be another option as he's tied for the league lead in interceptions with 5 but he also has 66 tackles on the year.
Wide Receiver of the year is a really close race. I'd give it Ty Hood but that might be slight personal bias because he's on my fantasy team but I think he leades the league in touchdowns and has the highest YPC is good enough to get me to vote for him. Obviously William Lim is catching a lot more passes per game but he's not doing as much with those catches as Hood is so I would vote Hood ahead of him.
