Bright eyes. Blank Slate. A vision for the future. I don't know any other players in this league, I just know I'm meant to be the greatest that's ever played the game. Where other men have struggled, I've overachieved. Some go to prestigious schools. I went to University of Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga. Go Bulldogs. I've always been the biggest fish in the pond and Rancho Cucamonga is the greatest pond on earth. Islands Restaurant... Sizzling Kitchen.... there's no better place for fine dining. But I digress. I'm ready for the ISFL but I'm not sure you're ready for me. As I learn about this league and its historic players you're all going to have the privilege to learn about me as I make history. I hope whichever team drafts me makes a deposit for high quality marble because they're going to need it to begin my statue after I win Defensive Rookie of the Year. Don't be surprised if I win the Ultimus MVP Year 1 too. I was the best goddamn D3 player California ever saw and I'm going to be the best DE this league has ever seen as well. So yeah, when it comes time to build a statue, my bust will be the symbol of awe inspiring hope that this city needs. I'm sizzling.

The Austin Copperheads have had quite an up and down history. From the beginning of the franchise, where the team went 0-13, to winning the Ultimus 5 seasons later, which was an impressive feat, Austin has continued that trend of up and down seasons to the present day. Last season? They made the Ultimus? This season with a better roster? Currently 3-9-1, with no chance of winning the title.
With such an interesting history in their decade of existence, there are many choices to consider for a statue. There’s Mako Mendonaca, the do everything Running Back that was a consistent threat to score. And let’s not forget about Rod Tidwell, the best Wide Receiver in team history that lead them to the Ultimus. As far as players go, however, the only choice is Easton Cole, the long time Quarterback and MVP of the Ultimus win. Cole wasn’t just the best QB in Austin history, he was one of the best of all time. Cole will eventually be enshrined in the Hall of Fame, joining names like Boss and Borkman as the best ever. But even still, Cole isn’t the answer. No, the statue in front of the Copperheads Stadium will belong to the man that made this all happen: Charlie Law, the first General Manager in team history. Without him, Austin football doesn’t exist. He built the foundation for not only the Ultimus win, but for how this franchise is still run today. He was the absolute best, and I love him. @AdamS (252) ![]()

Not meaning to toot my own horn here, but I think the clear answer is my player Dogwood Maple. Not only was I a second overall pick, but my contributions to the team, the league, and the general betterment of society have been notable from the moment I joined up. Last year, I was proud to be voted team captain and this year I’m again on the scouting team to make sure that our future is bright and we only bring the best of the best to the bright lights of New York City. Does it matter that I haven’t made the pro bowl, won any awards, or even played for an Ultimus? Of course not. Give me 10 more years and check back in on the trophy case. By the time I hang up my cleats and retire from Silverback fame, my name may be on the stadium. I think we’ll take home at least three Ultimus titles before I retire and hopefully that’s buoyed by a handful of pro bowls and maybe even safety of the year. I can promise you one thing. No silverback will work as hard as I’m about to work for this team, these fans, and this franchise. I’m going to give my all to this city and I fully expect to go down as one of the all-time greats to ever don our colors. Just give me some time and start sculpting the statue!

Many names come to mind when it comes to Portland’s deep history. A ton of players and general managers have made it through the doors of this historic franchise. And only a few deserve to be immortalized outside of Portland stadium. But for me personally, I think Frank Armstrong should get the nod and build a great statue made of gold in his name, along with a little otter on the side. He is arguably the best Quarterback seen in Portland history but Lebron James 3 comes in close. Not only did Frank win MVP multiple times but he also won Ultimini for the Pythons. He holds all the important quarterback records in Portland’s history with a 28-14 record. He comes in leading the class with the best QB rating, lowest interception percentage and with one record being the DSFL touchdown record. In addition, he had an amazing career in the ISFL with the Orange County Otters where he won 3 Ultimuses and won ISFL MVP three times. Lastly, Frank Armstrong is a shoe in for the hall of fame. He is one of the greatest players that both leagues have ever seen. Frank, should get a statue outside of the Orange County stadium as well.

There are so many great players in New Orleans Second Line history. From quarterback Borkus Maximus to wide receiver Vladimir Fyodorovich to linebacker Julian O’Sullivan, NOLA has a long history as a successful franchise full of Hall of Fame players. In fact, New Orleans is tied for the third most Hall of Fame players in league history. Instead of honoring any of those six, though, I would like to point out two players who will be in the Hall of Fame very soon. I think the statue should commemorate two players. Both were drafted in S15 to NOLA. Both played as many seasons as possible, and both retired the same season as some of the best ever at their respective positions. Those players are running back Forrest Gump and linebacker Quenton Bode. Gump retires with the fifth most rushing yards in league history and ninth most rushing touchdowns. He was an Ultimus MVP and won many awards. Bode saw much less recognition than Gump, since he played a position that is often taken for granted: middle linebacker. Regardless, Bode was a selfless player that anchored the great NOLA defense for many seasons. He retired as the all time leading tackler with 1,441 tackles, over 150 more than the second-most prolific tackler ever. Bode’s record will likely stand for many years to come.
It is pretty darn difficult to decide which former otter should receive this statue, considering how blessed this franchise has been to have such wonderful players and executives throughout its entire history. A few candidates off the top of my head would be:
Speculadora/Molar/Laser - any of these three guys would be excellent choices. Throughout almost all of Orange County’s history, the team has been led by one of these three guys. We’ve been so lucky with stability and sustained success, and a huge part of that is because of steady and passionate leadership at the top. Marc Spector - Spector is an easy answer for Otter legends. He’s one of the first and only inductees into our team hall of fame, the Ring of Otter, and he is the definition of an otter legend both on the field and off the field. Mike Boss - Though his son can be a bit of a cockwomble on Twitter, Boss holds many OCO passing records and helped anchor an incredibly successful offense (thanks to some very talented receivers) and lead the team to multiple playoff berths and championships. Franklin Armstrong - All of the reasons listed above for Boss minus the Twitter whinging. Armstrong is the GOAT, and if anyone deserves a statue of their player, it’s Moonlight. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
I’ve only been on the Kansas City Coyotes for a short time, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t noticed any players that haven’t stood out and earned themselves a KC Coyote statue.
Troy Abed deserves an official Kansas City Coyote statue placed outside of the stadium. He’s been the most dynamic player during my time here, and the most relied on player as well. He moves the offense downfield and gives us huge leads which allows the defense, which I play on, to play downhill and play with momentum. I may not have seen many WRs in this league, but this guy plays football at his outside WR spot as good as any WR I’ve ever seen, in fact better. He has the speed to run past any defender we play against, and honestly, I feel like this guy could excel at any position on any team with his speed. If that doesn’t deserve a statue, I don’t know what does. The fact that he’s playing at such a high level and he hasn’t even played on an ISFL team yet is crazy, he should be honored and respected for the numbers he’s putting up as a Coyote. Lastly, Troy Abed is a leader on the team. Very loyal to our program and always supports the rest of the guys with positivity. He reaches out to guys when he needs to in order to help the team succeed. |
