All of Europe weaves a tentative dance around the pursuit of immediate power. The central powers all respect each other and shore up their own interests. France looks to secure the Iberian Peninsula while England secures her namesake Channel. Germany shifts to consolidate the lowlands. Russia shifts her interests and secures the Black Sea. Austria streaks into dominance of the Balkans.

Who will secure the key centers come the fall? Will internal the internal discord of Turkey be resolved and the Turkish horde released to the field? Here's the field leading into the fall battle:

So @Noble hasn't responded to messages and I'm trying to check and see if he's still available. There's a possibility this turn might be extended one 24hour period. @Aenir is ready to lead the Turks into battle should Noble not be able to continue.

I wanted to make a rules clarification though. To control a supply center, you must have a unit on the space in the Fall of the year. For every new supply center you control in the Fall, you get to build a new unit in the Winter. However, those new units must be built in one of your starting 3 home zones. You can't build units on conquered territory.

A bloody lightning coup has displaced the leadership of Turkey! The previous glorious leader has been removed by the Turkish Senate at the point of many knives! The traitorous senators were unable to secure power and a new nationalist autocrat has vowed to take power to restore Turkey to greatness!

Here's @Aenir standing over the ruins of the previous leader, what he calls "the ruins of the @Noblest man who ever lived" and vowing revenge on the bloody Senate floor.

Bulgaria is a ablaze in the aftermath of the first great battle! Both Turkish and Austrian armies suffered heavy casualties and were forced to retreat to Serbia and Constantinople (or is it Instanbul?).

Russia and Italy both expand into the far north and south reaches of the European theater, securing themselves crucial builds.

And in a strange moment of solidarity, both French and German forces welcome a peacekeeper force of English troops to oversee the conflict in the lowlands.

What will the armies build over the winter?! Stay tuned to find out!

Austria emerges from the Winter of 1901 the dominant force in Europe's center. With a powerful army and empty centers near their influence, surely the rest of the board is paying attention to their growth!

The Northwest trio of powers all expand and flesh out their homelands. How will this delicate balance resolve itself? Will alliances of necessity carry the coming year? Tune in next time to find out!

The newly found gains of Austria have mired the government in red-tape as they attempt to process their new citizens. They were unable to mobilize their military this turn, but still are a strong force to be reckoned with.

Meanwhile, all the other powers seem to be rotating their military to new objectives and testing their borders. Russia swings north and backs up their holdings. Italy's armies march up the peninsula. The English navy brushes with the Germans as they attempt to patrol the North Sea. The hard nucleus of the Central European borders remain intact.

The North is littered with the remains of the first major land grab. Russia has pressed her claims on the North and come in force! Two supported moves into Berlin and Norway secure her more builds over the Winter. But crafty Germany retreats and steals Sweden out from under Russia during the assault! The friendly detente with the three powers of Germany, England and France still holds. Will Russian aggression force them to work together or tear them apart?

Meanwhile in the South, Turkey successfully worms their way out of their homeland and secures Greece as a new holding! The new republic of Austria must be looking askance at such action, but must also be mindful of the expanding Italian fleets.

What will the next year hold? Whose alliances will crack under the pressure? Will new ones be formed in the crucible of conflict?
