Since the announcement of the World Football Championships yesterday players all over the league have started handing in transfer requests and announcing their official place of birth. Something the International Simulated Football League apparently didn't ask for prior to the introduction of the World Football Championships. Players will be looking to join teams they have a higher chance of being a part of from an earlier age. Others are just looking to confirm which team they actually belong to.
As the first day has wrapped up we will take a look at all the players who have so far handed in a request to the Head Committee of the World Football Championships.
Ananda Adyan - OL - S25 - 806 TPE - Berlin Fire Salamanders
The first request came from the player Ananda Adyan. Adyan was one of the players without an official indicated place of birth and was placed in Team World. However now they have announced they were born in Jakarta, Indonesia. This sees them move from Team World to Team APAC. APAC earns a handy new Offensive Lineman who is looking to enter the prime of their career. A S25 draftee who is currently rated at a TPE level of 806. This mauler will provide great blocking for runners. A solid addition for team APAC.
Saleem Spence - WR - S28 - 733 TPE - Sarasota Sailfish
Saleem Spence was born Cape Town, South Africa, but was in possession of American and Canadian citizenship. Spence had been selected for Team World originally, but the young wide receiver has since come out and announced to want to play for the country he has resided in. Which is Winnipeg, Canada. Team Canada is one young player richer, Spence will be looking to crack the roster in due time and as a S28 draftee will be playing at a high level for years to come. As a Possession Receiver Spence provides a strong body who can gain yards for their team with his huge frame and just trucking. Team Canada will be happy to hear the news of this player opting to play for them.
Ken Oath - WR - S31 - 83 TPE - Prospect
This one is not as much a transfer as a correction of a mistake made by the Head Committee of the World Football Championship. Ken Oath was born in Woolloomooloo, which is a suburb in the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia. Despite this Ken Oath had been accidentally placed on the eligible list for Team World, instead of Team APAC. Probably a quick fix which I imagine will not actually cost Oath his one transfer per career if he would ever choose to transfer in the future.
Gluteus Maximus - OL - S26 - 526 TPE - Austin Copperheads
Gluteus Maximus has originally told the league his place of birth was Portland, Oregon which would make him represent the Western United States team. However in shocking news he recently came out and told the committee he was actually born in the province of Ontario, Canada. Coming out with this news he uses his transfer from his once home Oregon to the northern neighbours. With this move Canada has another Offensive Line to consider when creating the lineup for their team.
Dexter Zaylren - QB - S28 - 712 TPE - Bondi Beach Buccaneers
Another confusion regarding birthplaces. Dexter Zaylren for all his life was told he was born on the American side of the Niagara Falls. However after extensive research done by private eyes and research it was discovered that Zaylren was actually born on the Canadian side of the border. With this discovery Dexter has let the league know that he wishes to transfer to the Canadian team. This adds a spicy young quarterback for the Canadiens to consider in their options. It has only been two years since their draft and Zaylren is poised to become a legendary level quarterback. One who will likely be in the running to lead the Canadian team for seasons to come if he can out do his competitors.
Brendan Lanier - S - S22 - 614 TPE - Sarasota Sailfish
Brendan Lanier was told from a young age that he was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Which was apparently a huge prank by his parents as it was revealed by Lanier recently that he was actually born in Harrogate, England. Which ironically is my in real life place of birth so big shout out to you for picking a great place to be born in. Lanier leaves behind the Southeast United States and joins Team Europe. A veteran on the field, Lanier provides an option for the European team to bring in some leadership and poise.
Jay Cue Jr. - RB - S29 - 521 TPE - Yellowknife Wraiths
I think this was just Jay Cue Jr. trying to flex their portugese heritage. Because as far as I can tell Cue Jr. was always listed in the Team Europe list, but I could be wrong. However it might have just been a confirmation to the world that Jay Cue Jr. born in Lisboa, Portugal was actually 100% accurately born in Lisboa, Portugal. Seeing the recent news of many players who were actually very wrong in where their player was born. Cue Jr. is a young running back who will be great for Team Europe when his time comes. Cue Jr. who came into the league in S29 as a true rookie running back is already the talk of the town. He will be a great choice for the Team Europe selection for years to come.
Doy Fieri - CB - S25 - 1180 TPE - Philadelphia Liberty
Last but not least is Doy Fieri. Now this is a story you are going to want to read yourself, but it seems Doy Fieri took some acid and tripped an origin story for himself. He told the committee that he was not born in Minneapolis, Minnesota (a fact he never told the league as his player info never contained a place of birth), but instead was born in the city of Firenze in Italy. Moving from Team World where he was entered as N/A player, to what have should been Atlantic-Midwest United States, to what he now will actually represent which is Team Europe. With this news Team World loses out on a great cornerback, but Team Europe gains one in the process.
Well folks that wraps up the first day of international transfers. With many players still in the N/A column and being placed in Team World. Who knows how many players will come out with their actual place of birth and the many team changes that will come along with that.
