(S30) PT 3 - Short-Term Goals

Touchdowns. The name of the game is touchdowns. Ten games in, only five touchdowns. Last season, Skiuuup had twice as much at the same amount of games. Along with around 1k yards, not the 500 he has now. So, it either pops up from here for the last six weeks, or it is a massive flop, considering it is a wide receiver in his prime. After last season, you would expect more of the same. Well, no. Skiuuup cannot do. On the other hand, Skiuuup got some kick and punt return yards. But again, touchdown is the name of the game. Putting points on the board. And Skiuuup plain sucks at that this season. That is exactly where he has to improve. That extra yard or two or five or ten. Put points on the board. On a loaded offense like Berlin's, a receiver gets only so many chances. Also, Skiuuup needs to get in sync with Kaep. So. Many. Overthrows. And. Underthrows. This has been a problem for the tandem since forever. Route running was always hard for Skiuuup. He has improved, but he needs more. Even in his prime, he cannot run the proper route to give Kaep the opportunity for a pass right in his hands. Skiuuup has to reach back, dive forward, or see the ball go through him, just because he cannot judge distance and speed lmao.

Well at the wide receiver position there's a pretty short list of things that you can improve upon to make your game better on the field. While a number of other different players might say improving their touchdown numbers or total yardage, Andy Fantuz is looking to make his rookie QB's transition into the league as smooth as possible. While Fantuz would like to improve upon his receiving stats, be needs to focus on some of the smaller things including his run blocking, route running, and special teams coverage. Once a player is able to excel at some of the smaller aspects of being a wide receiver, or for any position really, they can then become one of the truly great players on the field because they are both well rounded and knowledgeable of what it takes to be playing at their position. As the one great saying goes, if you build it they will come and that applies to any player because if you solely focus on just speed or hands or throw power your player will be one dimensional and easy to deter or stop on the field. But if you build your player into a robust and diverse build your player will then be able to succeed and the stats will soon follow unless you join a team like New Orleans because they big suck.

The goal for Toastovich is to eventually make the ISFL after starting his third season in Dallas. The Birddogs hold a special place in my DSFL heart but after so long in the minor league it seems that something might be up for my career moving forward. Being a less-than max earner definitely set Toastovich back and the build that he has going has not been the most successful in game and that might be playing some sort of role in this. That means my short-term goals for the rest of the season are going to be to get as much attention as I can offensively. The Birddogs have been playing on fire it seems and Toastovich is certainly doing what he can to get involved in that play but there needs to be more if he is going to make it to Arizona and start making an impact in the game.

The only thing that I can do is really pray for the sim gods to smile upon me as I keep making sure that I am doing what I can to earn for my team. Maybe if I actually spend some time watching the sims Toastovich will keep up his strong play and that will book his ticket to the big leagues.

As Dante King reaches the midpoint of his sophomore season and looks back at the first half, he sees a lot to be proud of: the Baltimore Hawks have won four games, already surpassing many spectators' expectations for the full slate of games, and Dante has gotten off to a nice start in tandem with fellow running back Busch Goose and rookie QB Gimmy Jaroppolo Jr.  With 841 yards from scrimmage and 6 rushing touchdowns, Dante is on pace to produce a similar statline to his rookie season on the ground and far surpass it through the air. However, as he looks to continue improving his game, he wants to work on building his nose for the end zone, particularly in the passing game. Despite putting up decent receiving numbers, he has yet to score a receiving touchdown through a season and a half. This can be attributed in part to the plethora of wonderful receiving options the team boasts and some caution with putting too much on a young passer's plate, but as Dante refines his skills, he needs to make sure that he makes the most of his touches to help his team team their ultimate goal, and at the end of the day points are what matter in this game.

Written option: The season is at it's half way point. Your player has hopefully been performing up to your standards, but the sim gods are not always as nice as you want them to be and there is always things to improve on. Talk about one aspect of your player's game that you want to be improved upon by the end of the season, and how you plan on improving upon that certain aspect.

So fun fact, Davriel Lavigne is a cornerback. CBs are kinda known for getting pass deflections and interceptions. That is a scam. It is all a scam. Lavigne has been a CB for about 2 seasons now. 26 games in total and he has gotten a total of 2 interceptions in that entire time. Ignore him currently being 10th in tackles n shit. We talking real cornerback hours here and those fuckers are suppost to get interceptions. However Lavigne just doesnt do that shit. I wish I could be one of the fuckers who talks big game and gets interceptions to go with it, but sadly Lavigne is just built differently. It is kinda hard for Lavigne to really improve on his game as he is currently at the top of all his attributes and has almost all the bs traits that go with it. Lavigne will just have to pray to the sim gods that he will have some good times at cornerback, but who knows. He luckily still has a few more seasons of being at the top of his game, so he still has time to really improve his game and leave an impact on it, before all his earnings will slowly be taken away by the time wizard.

Being a rookie in the DSFL it's not really expected that I show out right away but since I am a starter I would disagree with that notion. Until last game when I got a pick 6 which was pretty awesome I haven't been making the impact I've wanted to. It doesn't that our other safety is also a rookie and is lighting up the stat sheet, forced fumbles, sacks, even INTs, he's really been doing it all. I'm really happy for him and as a team because so far the defense has been great and we've only lost one game but it's kinda hard for me to get noticed. I know I'm playing in more of the pass coverage role but it's still a kinda disappointing. So I guess the biggest thing to work on is my in game awareness, I need to be able to correctly read play action and not get caught on WR moves, improving in that should help break up more passes and read the QB better and get more interceptions. It works for more in pass coverage as well as I can make plays on the ball quicker and could help on blitz if my number ever gets called. It's only half way through the season so I do have time to improve and show everyone to not sleep on me.

For the most part there isn't really anything about Dumais Wells game that really needs to be dramatically improved. For what he is, he's doing really really well so I can't complain. Maybe the one thing that I'd like to improve upon is the yards per game for Wells. Wells is only around 67 yards or so per game and that's just not good enough for some reason. Honestly I'm grasping at straws but from an egotistical stand point I'd love to see that number be closer to one hundred or so per game. I think what I'm going to do to achieve that goal is work on speed and hands and just focus on playing my game. But honestly I can't complain at all about how my season has gone so far, it's been absolute thrill and I love how it's all gone so far and I can't wait to have many more incredible moments with Tijuana through the rest of this season and into our playoffs. I'd like to continue this point task with a shoutout to Kotasa who allows me to play so much on this team and a big shoutout to Jpach for his work on IsHeReally... Invisible whom is going to be the all time Pelota de Juego leader by the end of his career. Thanks!

If I had to pick one aspect of DB Jadakiss's game to improve I would simply say every stat, every measurable. Jadakiss has been a leader in the secondary for one of the best defenses in the whole league for several seasons in a row, but nearly all of Jadakiss's contributions have come in a way that doesn't present in the box score, leaving Kiss without any hardware for his hard work - no awards, no noms, no pro bowls, no respect. Jadakiss is committed to being a team player, and it shows up every day on the field, especially this season, when Arizona seems to be peaking on both sides of the ball. I will try to focus on one area of the game, so I'd put in extra work to be better at interceptions for the second half of the season, since inactive lightnoir Wesley Eriksen keeps stealing all of them - literally dude goes IA and starts absolutely crushing essentially every statistical category. So in order to make these dreams come true and improve how I need to , I would like to announce that I am officially going inactive in pursuit of this goal - thanks everyone and goodbye! (sorry z and crunk but actually kind of not sorry since clearly I will play better now!)

Tatsu Nakamura's biggest and most clear goal for the 30th ISFL season is simple: score hella touchdowns. Nakamura went into this with a very clear possibility, should he be able to retain most of his production over the previous few seasons, to break the ISFL record for rushing TDs and even had the chance possibility of reaching the number one spot in career all-purpose touchdowns. But really, those are long-term goals, objectives that Nakamura has been working his entire career toward.

Nakamura's short-term goal for this season, as his bones and joints continue to wear down from years of punishment as a workhorse running back, has been to continue develop on the mental aspects of the game as he works hard to stave of the slow regression of his physical talents. He learned from the later half of Season 29, and from his off-season training that he'd need to develop other parts of his game to remain a relevant weapon for his team. A big part of that was working with great receivers on his team like Taro Raimon, Thomas Passman, and especially captain Darren Pama (who had previously converted from running back to wide receiver) on his route running and catching abilities. This has paid off as Nakamura has matched his average over the past few seasons already in only 10 games. On top of this, Nakamura has worked on his vision and timing to make sure that he can try to retain a higher level of efficiency, even as he may not be able to hit the gaps as quickly as he would with younger legs.

Konstantin Selich's season so far is not too bad on the contrary I would say he is performing up to expectation maybe even slightly above them. Sitting at 25 Tackles and 4 Tackles for Loss so far in this season with sadly no sack yet. Obviously one aspect of his game that Konstantin would love to see some improvement in would be the amount of Sacks. Even though the primary task of a defensive tackle is to stuff the running lanes getting to the enemy Quarterback here and there would feel quite nice for the sabercats player. As to how Konstantin will try to get more of the elusive sacks is by increasing his tackling and worker on being able to read the play quicker and better as it develops. Improving on these tasks should hopefully let him sniff out the offense and get to the Quarterback. Konstantin so far is quite pleased with the amount of tackles that resulted in a loss for the opposing offense. Selich currently sits tied at the number 8 spot leaguewide there. Being able to finish the season with 7 or maybe 8 Tackles for Loss would definitely be a season that is quite satisfying individually but sadly it is looking like team success wise this season will be quite a let down.
