Bail money again?! What are you planning on doing with your life BECK? You had one good year in the ISFL and you think you’re all that now? Are you thinking about your future at all? Nothing screams more 1 and done to me than Sal Ami. You’re a stubbed toe away from your career being over, then what?
I have some advice for you…. Ray the Manta Ray, be like him. Go to practice, get involved in the community, and then go to be and be with your family. Ray is already set up for a career after the career because the good image he has put out in the community. Expect many Hair commercials starting Ray in the next decade and please whatever you do stop hanging out with those “cool kids” Cobra, Davriel, and Guy, they all are the old school group who thinks the bad boy thing is the way to go. Trust me, you don’t want to end up like these guys. Be smart, join me and ray for milkshakes tonight. ![]()

From the journal of Greg Strongjaw
Day 14 - Morning We finally reached the Americas! After two weeks of sailing here I've arrived safe and sound in Galveston, Texas. It's a lot warmer than Ireland, that's for sure! I arrived to a letter waiting for me, from home. It's my beautiful mother letting me know my younger cousin, Grug, wanted to follow in my footsteps. Except he didn't want to follow, he wanted to get there before me, the bastard! He's always been better in school, faster, and more handsome than me. Can't he just let me do this one by myself? His flight leaves Ireland in a few hours and he'll be in California before I am, since we've booked an RV to get us there. I need to come up with a cunning plan to change his mind. This will take some thinking. Day 14 - Afternoon I sent Grug an email containing screenshots of the current temperatures here. He's typically shirtless and at the beach when it hits 75F back home. So I sent him a screenshot of the 110F summer weather forecasts. Day 14 - Evening I got a response from Grug. "I'm gonna give cricket a shot, headed to London". Crisis averted. ![]()
Some people are born to play the game of football. Others have to fight for their right to be part of the action. Cedric Wilkins II was among the latter crop. So, seeing somebody walk the same path, his instincts tell him to dedicate time to helping develop that talent, because those are the players whose stories excite the junkyard dog. If you’re born to play the game, making your way to the main stage doesn’t mean anything; if you scratch and claw your way to the top, that takes grit and determination, and that should be what truly impresses people. So, with a mentee watching his every move, asking him for guidance, Cedric Wilkins II catches a glimpse of the player he has always been, the scrappy junkyard dog fighting for his shot, and while he doesn’t have many words of advice, he guides his protégé through his actions, putting his nose to the grindstone and busting his ass to show the next generation the meaning of working for your dreams.
My Younger Brother came to me recently, Auto Bus told me his grades were slipping and his Hs football coach was going to cut him from the team if he didn’t get them up. Looking back at my own grades in school and nearly losing scholarships because of low grades. I told him “look man, you’ve got to keep your grades up, I know it doesn’t seem important right now. But put yourself in your coaches shoes, would you want the guy who works hard on field but neglects all of his other responsibilities, or would you want the guy that works hard in every class and has time to work hard on the field. Which guy do you think is going to be successful long term? What happens if you have a career ending injury and no education? You’ve got to work hard in every way to show colleges that you can handle the stress. If ISFL teams can see you work under pressure on field and manage grades they are going to be more likely to trust you in a game time situation. Keep that in mind little bro and hit me up if you need help I can get you a good tutor.” I’d stress to him the importance of working hard both on and off the field. This will help you in your career but also in life after football ends.

There are several things that you sign up for when you become an athlete. Number one of which is to be an athlete on the field, i.e do the job that you have been told to do by your coaches and do what you need to do to win games. Number two of which is to be an athlete off the field, as in being an active citizen, stay on the right side of the law, and don't let negative influences drag you down from doing what you have to do on the field. Number three of which is to be an athlete in the classroom, as in keeping your grades up and not ditching or being delinquent while in school hours. I'm not disappointed in what you have done, but I need you to understand that you are letting yourself down by not upholding the commitments that you have received over the course of your career. I know you have a bright future and that you have great things coming your way, but you need to understand that it isn't easy just shrugging off other aspects of life. You will not be good if you don't have good grades. You know better.
Now, I'd rather not have this conversation with you again, but if you need someone to tutor you, or get you back on the right foot, don't be afraid to let me know and I can get you in touch, or you can reach out to the school if you are able to seek assistance there. I wish you luck man, and remember this; we are rooting for you.
Bender doesn't have any living relatives, at least any that he cares about. The closest thing to a sibling would be his best friend's 30 times removed nephew's clone, Hubert. He's a young teen who is mostly into role-playing but recently got into football after seeing Bender kill it on the field. After being asked to meet with Hubert, Bender would say:
"Hey buddy, I heard that you look up to the great Bender. And that makes sense. I mean just look at me. I'm awesome! And look at you. You're just not football material buddy. But you got things going for you! You can still be like Bender! You're smart and lazy. The perfect combination for becoming a criminal! You need to study hard in school so that we can commit crimes and get rich. I already have prep work for you!" "Oh really?? What's that" asks Hubert. "I need you to pickpocket your uncle Fry without getting caught. I need some beer money" Hubert runs off to steal Fry's money and start his journey to become the universe's greatest criminal! ![]() -------------------

John Huntsman has a decent sized family. He is the oldest grandchild of thirteen on his maternal grandmother’s side. Every aunt and uncle live nearby and the family gets together very regularly all throughout the year. John has always been around young cousins and his journey to get to the ISFL has been quite the inspiration throughout his family. Especially to his young cousin Larry. Larry has aspirations of following in John Huntsman’s footsteps by making it big in the simulation fantasy world. There’s a slight problem because Larry tends to not do too well in school. Because of his admiration for John, Larry’s mother asks John to motivate Larry in his school work.
Normally John believes that school beyond high school is not for all people, but is pushed onto anyone that shows any hint of knowledge. John believes that trade schools and/or starting your career can be more beneficial to a lot of people than discovering yourself and your wants at a college while putting yourself in debt for years trying to pay it off. But John needs to be positive to young Larry and convince him that ISFL teams and college teams need smart people in order to succeed at any position. And almost all professional players get picked from college teams. College teams have educational prerequisites for their players. ![]() |
