Remove Corner Blitzes

I think a corner blitz is the exact type of risk/reward type play that should be in the game.  If you blitz more, there should be a possible penalty to it.  I think removing this lessens the risk of having a heavy blitz plaubook, while retaining all the reward of it.

So what's your position? That the corner blitz isn't that significant and we're just reading into it too much based upon a poor visualization? Or that the corner blitz is significant and working as intended as a way to add risk?

Even if you wanted to keep it in for your team doesn't mean that another even wants it in their playbook. Liberty can have corner blitzes. Everyone can have this removed.

I guess my position is that we don't know, and since we dont know we shouldn't rush to remove it. No one is suggesting to give a blanket +10 tackling to all DBs so WRs stop carrying them 40 yards down the field. Sometimes the sim just has a crappy way of showing what happened. However it is also possible that CB Blitz is programmed to be more prone to big plays, and if that's the case then it should definitely stay to give proper risk to increased blitzing.

Yea what he said doesn't make that much sense. It seems he wants to penalize teams for blitzing, by keeping a corner blitz in because it doesn't work. That's weird.

Wellllll....that would require a lot more work on Er's part to do it this way by making him build custom playbooks for each team. The way I know how to do it actually would completely remove them from the game for everyone by editing a file within the sim install.

If an offensive play averages less than 3 yards per play is it "not working and game breaking"? Should we get rid of plays like QB Draw and QB Sweep that have low success rates? At what point are we all left with such straight vanilla playbooks where OVR rating outweighs any randomness?

I think it's a case by case bases.

I think if your QB has the "mobile" tag these are more prone to happen... which is unfortunate for San Jose.

I draw the line at the corner blitz. I don't see where the slippery slope fallacy fits in here.
