Whenever you purchase the bot. So generally once each pre-season.

However if you traded away an OL mid season and needed to purchase a bot, you could configure the new one when purchased.

Is it too far-fetched to have a different, reduced update scale for OL? That way, the 50 TPE inactives aren't too much better than they are now, but the overall quality of OL increases and encourages activity.
