Otters General Manager Molarpistols/Linebacker Ian Bavitz available for questions. Ask away, let me earn some monies!
A big reason for the Yates signing was to give us the option of running a more run/pass balanced offense. Last season, nearly everybody lined up in Nickle against us every down, because they knew we were about to pass. Signing a talented RB such as Yates will definitely force opposing defenses to respect the run and keep them guessing week to week. The fact that the signing simultaneously hurts a conference rival is just icing on the cake.
The biggest difference this last season was the addition of Spurbury's finest to our offensive roster. Farva, Ramathorn, Foster, Rabbit and Womack really helped keep the pocket cleaner for Boss to go through his progressions and find the open receiver. It also allowed Bradley Madlad to move to his more natural position of kicker, which was coincidentally a big boon for us as well.
As for the Las Vegas Legion, it's a really unfortunate circumstance. They weren't much of a threat in the ASFC yet, but they were most definitely on the up-and-up. I could have seen them competing fiercely by S6 or S7 on their old trajectory. As it stands, Sandoval is going to have a tough time bringing this team to competitiveness. I wish them the best of luck.
I have two guesses: first being that he's still stuck on the need to stay bulky to play in the trenches of the NSFL, hence the mayo. The banana has a lot of nutrients to help his body survive the grueling season with all the added bulk from eating so much mayo.
The second guess, is that's it's an unfortunate side effect from being resurrected by Qyburn, similar to pregnancy cravings.
Bonus guess: pregnancy cravings
The Otters front-office members are firm believers in picking best-player available. There are certain positions we're interested in from a more 'need' stand-point, but the Otters are pretty flexible and can move pieces around to fill needs if they think a specific prospect is the best player but not a needed position. Basically, the Otters are doing their due diligence on all prospects and won't shy away from a good player simply because they don't fill an immediate need.

What was the key difference for the Otters this season that helped you finally beat the Outlaws in the playoffs and get your first league Championship?
Would you care to comment at all about the recent fallout in Las Vegas and what it means for the rest of the ASFC?
