Verso L'Alto sat down over the weekend for an interview with the Baltimore Sun. His message was short and sweet:
"Rumors of my upcoming free agency have been circulating quite abundantly recently. While at first I wasn't sure how to approach them and I attempted to shut them down by avoiding the topic altogether, I think they've now come to be too big of a distraction for myself and for the Hawks organization. Right now, we don't have the luxury to afford distraction--we've got playoff football ahead of us. So, I want to put the rumors to rest right now with an official statement: 'I will be re-signing with the Baltimore Hawks for one more season'. Deep down, I want to play championship football and set records. And right now, I am able to do that with the Baltimore Hawks--I am very happy to be returning next season. But championship football is what this is all about, and that's what we have to look forward to this week. So, let's keep our eyes on the S12 Ultimus and we can talk about my career goals and aspirations at a later date. Thank you."
This is certainly good news for those of us at the Sun who will be rooting for him to bring the Ultimus Trophy back to the city of Baltimore.
