Hello everyone, I'm AJ Lattimer, nose tackle prospect out of the University of Iowa. I'm here to answer any questions you might have about me before the upcoming DSFL draft. Fire away!
>Which NFL player would you say most closely resembles your play style?
"If I had to choose one specific player, I'd have to go back a little bit and say my play style would be similar to B.J. Raji's. However, I wouldn't say I modeled my game after anyone in particular. I've been inspired by many before me at my position, including Raji, Vince Wilfork, Jeremiah Ratliff, and others, but I'm my own player." [Laughs] "Hopefully someday when new blood is coming into the league, they'll be getting compared to me!"
>Do you see yourself as the type of player who can generate an interior pass rush, or are you mostly concentrated on being a run stuffer?
"I'm a team player, the type of guy that will do whatever job is necessary to win. I know I'm not the fastest rusher, so if I can plug up the holes in the middle with my size and use my strength to get through the line, I'll eat up blocks and draw double teams, and that'll create opportunities for my teammates and give us the best chance to win the game. I'm concentrated on doing what's best for my team, even if my efforts don't show on the stat sheet."
>Which DSFL team would you like to play for the most?
"That's a tough question. If I'm going to be honest, I'm just excited for the opportunity to play the game I love at the next level. I don't have any specific teams in mind, all I know is whoever drafts me will receive relentless effort and a team-oriented attitude. I'm a very motivated person, and I plan to work hard and be a contributor for my future team."
