It's a sunny Tuesday afternoon in Honolulu and the town is bustling with tourism. But just a few miles inland, the UH Rainbow Warriors football team is hard at work--putting forth extra effort on the field for practice as they send off former starting safety Troy Humuhumunukunuku?pua'a while he makes a bid for the NSFL.
"The hard work ethic Troy brought to the UH football team has spread through the entire athletics department" says the UH Athletics Administrator. "The amount of football skills he gained here were paid back twice over by his ability to influence his peers to be their best."
The Hawaiian word for earthquake is "?la'i". As Troy Humuhumunukunuku?pua'a leads the Rainbow Warriors in their final drill for the day--200m dashes--one learns why he is known as "Ke ?la'i". As the NSFL-hopeful tears up the field at UH M?noa, almost a hundred Rainbow Warriors are cheering him on and the combination of Troy's lightning fast steps and his teammates even more powerful cheering rumbles the entire stadium.

On the plane ride to the mainland, Troy shares his thoughts on being a NSFL prospect.
"I'm really excited to be able to show my stuff in the pro ranks--show that the support my family and friends have given me was worth it. I learned a lot from my teammates and coaches back at UH and I can't wait to take my game up to the next level playing with the best." "I hope I'm able to bring some aloha spirit to the NSFL."
Troy pulls out a bag of spam musubi--his favorite snack, tied with cookies. As he happily goes through the spam musubi, he talks to his family and friends on facebook messenger.

As the favorites for the S15 Prospect Bowl, the Southwest Foxes have recently suffered back to back losses with a combined score of 60-21, losing their undefeated status. Yet Ke ?la'i still rumbles. In the Foxes first loss, Troy fought to keep hope alive for the foxes with an interception returned for a touchdown following a pair of safeties by defensive linemen Lo Mein and Mick Moekr. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as Brock Landers hit an unlucky streak in the air and gave up 4 interceptions. The Foxes offensive woes continued in their game agains the Atlantic Blackbirds. The defense had similar woes as they were unable to match the Blackbirds 4 turnovers, continuing their pattern of forcing turnovers only every other game
