Ready to be graded
Hey there. All of us rookies are surely excited for the DSFL draft, in which we will get to see Monday. I decided to throw my hand in on a Mock Draft. Which no further wait, lets get into it.
Round 1

With the first selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Norfolk Seawolves select Allen Josh!
This selection makes total sense. Allen Josh declared early, and has had more time to build up TPE and be an overall good players. Norfolk, being an expansion team needs to take the best player available with this pick OR take a pretty nice trade. With 85 speed, he might be the fastest player in this draft. Taking him is an overall great selection for Norfolk. You may argue that a QB in good in this spot since they don't have one. They can most likely secure a QB in the third/fourth round, and can even probably trade down for those selection. Allen Josh will be a solid anchor on defense and a probably needed one.
With the second selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Palm Beach Solar Bears select Johnny Slothface!
Allen Josh and Johnny Slothface are near interchangeable for the #1
and #2
selections. They are both early commit, high tpe, speed linebackers. Slothface will give yet another expansion team a real solid anchor on defense. Palm Beach should be delighted to be able to select an active, good linebacker prospect. There are a few other picks Palm Beach could gamble on(shameless plug) such as the Terry 'The Candyman' Taffy and Emondov Emoji. Slothface provides another safe defensive pick such as Allen Josh does for Norfolk. In this deep offensive class, good to pluck the good defensive pieces first and look for steals in later rounds.
With the third selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, The Portland Pythons select Emondov Emoji!
This mock draft is pretty hard on Portland, as the two top prospect, both linebackers were selected just ahead of them. The loss of Gekyume Stokeley and Leighton Lee will undeniably hurt Portland hard, I assume they will try to tackle it in the later rounds or try to trade up. Enough about the other prospects, let me shed some light on Emondov Emoji now. Another early commit, Emoji is a speedy man to man cornerback that will be able to shut down receivers. Let me reiterate speedy, as his speed rivals that of Allen Josh. Portland will be pretty happy to have Emoji, or Slothface, depends on Palm Beach.
With the fourth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, The San Antonio Marshalls select Chase Jensen!
This might come as a bit of a surprise, but the Marshalls looked like strong favorites to win last year. They lost Cooter Bigsby, the #1 Quarterback off the board in the
draft. They probably going to need another quarterback, but why not take one in the later rounds? No team will select a qb in round 1, so you have time. They also lost Drew Maddox, a good receiver prospect. Replace Maddox with the #1 Tight End Prospect. With Jensen, you get a little bit of everything. Decently fast, decent blocking, decent catching ability, and decent decision-making. As he develops, he can be used as an insane tool on offensive to get it all done.
With the fifth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Kansas City Coyotes select Richard D'Attoria V!
I struggled with this pick, the coyotes are also missing a good QB and defensive tackle. Another speedy high tpe safety to pair with Bohne, the Coyotes could improve their defensive a ton with D'Attoria V. Not much to say about this selection, solid defensive cornerstone.
With the sixth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Tijuana Luchadores select Ahri Espeeyeeseetee!
A good wide receiver prospect, Tijuana can strengthen a championship winning receiving corp. Espeeyeeseetee is pretty active and can provide a solid red zone threat. This pick could also be used as a QB pick, to have their first good at the man of the future.
Round 2
With the seventh selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Norfolk Seawolves select Nero Alexander!
There are only four defensive line prospect, and Norfolk should look to take one quickly. They need Nero to start their defensive. Defense wins championships, and the addition of Alexander should push them closer to wins. His ability to do most things will be useful for a new Seawolves defense.
With the eighth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Palm Beach Solar Bears select Terry Taffy!
(Fair warning, this is my player. I will add another mock selection as fairness.)
Terry Taffy is an exciting receiving back that's receiving lots of attention for his prospect bowl performance. He ranks amongst the fastest in the draft at 80 speed, and has 30 TPE banked, so he can be easily developed by Palm Beaches new system. Another QB could fly with this pick, but Taffy sets himself apart from many of RB prospects and could be a solid selection at #8
Alternate Selection: Lo Mein
Palm Beach might decide they want to follow in the footsteps of fellow expansion team, the Norfolk Seawolves. Selecting Lo Mein, a fellow DL prospect would certainly do so. Slothface-Lo Mein combo is just as scary as an Allen-Alexander combination. Palm Beach should definitely look into Lo Mein to help bolster their defense.
With the ninth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Portland Pythons select AJ Lattimier!
There's not very many DT's in this draft, and the Pythons might want to quickly bite as this opportunity. Lattimier is strong and has high endurance, the Pythons might want to take a chance on the nose tackle to improve their lackluster defensive line. If they wait too long, this opportunity could be gone. I'd seize the day.
With the tenth selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the San Antonio Marshalls select Bill Inohi!
Another DT prospect, the Marshalls might want an upgrade at the position. DT seems to be a weak spot for most teams, so taking a chance at the balanced tackle might not be a bad idea. This pick is still in the second round however, and there's still a lot of prospect on the board. They could select Forrest Gump as the successor to Fast Boija. There's a lot of options, but Marshalls fans should be pretty satisfied with Inohi.
With the eleventh selection in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Kansas City Coyotes select Franklin Armstrong!
An earlier commit QB, the Coyotes might want to take immediate relief from the loss of Rose Jenkins. Armstrong is a wickedly good pocket passer that I'd set QB1 in this draft. If they choose to do that, they better take an OL next round. His mobility is pretty bad compared to the other QB's in the draft.
With the twelfth pick in the S14 DSFL Draft, the Tijuana Luchadores select Edmond Beaver-Dantes!
The defending champions might want an O-Line to protect their current/future quarterback. This could also be high value to the Coyotes who might shell some capital to get the athletic lineman. This pick could also be used to select a quarterback to account for the loss of Havran, or to trade to get some more useful capital. Either way, Beaver-Dantes remains a useful selection.
And this concludes my Round 1 and Round 2 Mock Draft. I'd love to see what your guys' mock draft would consist of. Feel free to post those mock drafts below explanation or not Thanks for reading!
