Baltimore Hawks (no change)[/div]
The Baltimore Hawks continue their run of dominance with consecutive wins over the Arizona Outlaws and the Orange County Otters, two big out of conference wins over play-off caliber teams. In the last two weeks, Hawk's QB Childish Gambino (5-1 TD/INTS) remained hot but RB Marquise Brown (337 combined yards, 3 TDS) continues to do enough to make the MVP debate between these two players interesting. Winners of 9 straight, it looks like the team will be setting plenty of records this year.
The Hawks have now clinched 1st overall their conference, but have some interesting match-ups to end the season including a rematch with the San Jose SabresCats. All that's left is to see how far Baltimore is ahead at season's end.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]2.
San Jose SabreCats (no change)[/div]
While the San Jose SabreCats won two straight, they had to come from behind to beat both the floundering Colorado Yeti and the middling Yellowknife Wraiths. The defending champs have looked surprisingly beatable since a 20 shutout loss to the Philadelphia Liberty three weeks ago. Luckily for them, they have just about sealed up the conference and can rest on the wins they piled up already this season.
QB Joliet Christ has continued to pile up yardage both through the air and on the ground, but as a team the offense ranks near the bottom of the league in scoring. Their league best defense has propelled them many wins over the regular season but recent offensive performances certainly hasn't sparked repeat hopes.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]3.
Arizona Outlaws (up one) [/div]
The formally basement-dwelling Arizona Outlaws continued their upstart season, first with a perfunctory loss to the Baltimore Hawks and then a statement win against a solid Philadelphia Liberty team. This Arizona team has been able to put points up on the board, and positioned themselves to be in what amounts to be a win and in type game versus The Orange County Otters in week 13. If Arizona can avenge that unlucky loss early in the year they look be be a surprising addition to the playoffs this season.
Veteran QB Andrew Reese has finally played up to his TPE potential, putting together a fine season, highlighted by a 4 touchdown performance in the big Philadelphia win last week. They will need a big game from Reese to beat the Otters in week 13, a win which should earn them a playoff spot.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]4.
Philadelphia Liberty (up one)
[/div]
The Philadelphia Liberty split their games this week with an impressive win over the Orange County Otters followed by a lopsided loss to the Arizona Outlaws. While they haven't done anything to distinguish themselves from the rest of the bubble teams, they are in a driver's seat for a playoff berth as they should defeat the Yellowknife Wraiths in week 13.
The story out of Philadelphia is the continued emergence of rookie RB Vander Jones, however the offense as a whole has been inconsistent outside star WR Jordan von Matt. The unit will need to step up to defeat the Wraiths in huge regular season finale.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]5.
Orange County Otters (down two)
[/div]
Two straight losses have all of a sudden seen the Orange County Otters in dog fight for a playoff spot with the rival Arizona Outlaws. Those two losses were very close however, and they look to control their own destiny and sweep the season series versus the Outlaws in week 13.
WR Sunnycursed thrived in the pass heavy Otter offense and continues to lead the league in receiving, one of the many offensive players enjoying success in the league's best passing attack that has an excellent shot at locking up a playoff spot in the coming weeks.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]6.
Yellowknife Wraiths (no change)
[/div]
The Wraiths are the only team to defeat the juggernaut Baltimore Hawks this season, an impressive feat but undermined by the fact they haven't done much else this season. Other than that surprising upset, the Wraiths haven't beat a team other than the Colorado Yeti or the New Orleans Second Line. While their season is in danger of being a disappointment based on how they started, they have put themselves in striking distance playoff spot if they can upset the Liberty in week 14.
It's a tall order, given the struggles of rookie QB Cooter Bigsby, who looks to be at least a year away from establishing himself in the NSFL, though has shown enough flashes this season to bode well for his NSFL future.

New Orleans Second Line (up one)
[/div]
The New Orleans Second Line had been having a lousy season after reeling off an embarrassing 10 strait losses to open the season. However, they look to have avoided the dubious distinction of being a win-less team with a win over fellow basement dweller the Colorado Yeti. More importantly, by virtue of that win they also avoid becoming last in my power rankings - an easy call since they actually dominated the Yeti.
That's probably the highlight of the season for the Second Line, as it faces the toughest remain schedule going forward.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]
8.
Colorado Yeti (down one)[/div]
The Colorado Yeti lost the toilet bowl this week, falling to the previously win-less New Orleans Second Line and in an embarrassing fashion. The Yeti risk eternal shame by being last place overall in my rankings at season's end, and must upset at least one playoff hopeful to do avoid that fate. Its not probable, its not likely, but there is a chance the Yeti could play an interesting spoiler to one of the three playoff hopefuls with games against the Philadelphia Liberty, the Yellowknife Wraiths, and the Orange County Otters on the schedule to finish out the season.
Fortunately, there is hope in the lost season - WR James Bishop is breaking out to be one of the most dominant receivers in the league. Other than that the Yeti look to be just playing out the string at this point.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Games to Watch:[/div]
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Arizona Outlaws @ Orange County Otters (Week 13)[/div]
This game will likely determine who is the second playoff team out of the ASFC, and the Orange County Otters look to have two advantages going in - both a home game with a favorable crowd and confidence after a close victory versus the Outlaws in week 6.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]
Yellowknife Wraiths @ Philadelphia Liberty (Week 14)
[/div]
If the Wraiths win this game there is a chance they can back door into the playoffs, however the Liberty should win this home game and clinch a consecutive playoff berth. If the Liberty can take care of business this game may not even matter.
