It appears nobody wants Josh Bercovici. After going 2-1 with 4 TDs and 4 INT for Orange County, the Otters elected to go back to Mike Boss and have made it clear that he is their guy, there's no confusion or quarterback battle in OC anymore- new GM @Shaka is putting his faith in Boss, and no one can really blame him for it, either, it's a toss up and you just gotta go with your gut and hope it's the right call, and so far Boss has rewarded that faith by playing excellent football and putting the surging Otters into the forefront of the league.
Although Bercovici was very outspoken in the beginning of the season and made clear how he felt about things, he has been quiet and focused since the change in leadership. "I didn't respect Petrakis as a GM, he had no idea what the fuck he was doing and I'm not the kind of person to quietly follow an idiot when he's hurting the team. Shaka, on the other hand, knows what he's doing and I respect him and the decisions he's made. I never had any beef with Boss, and I never will, we are good friends and we go at it every day in practice- why do you think he's doing so well? Because we compete against each other every day and it makes both of us better."

Bercovici can't seem to catch a break.
You could actually credit Bercovici for starting the ball rolling downhill on getting Petrakis to step down, who simply couldn't handle the quarterback situation and even claimed he was "bullied" by Berc and Boss- yes, that's right, he actually said that. Since Shaka has taken over the team has been firing on all cylinders, there is no controversy, no drama and no concerns. You can thank Bercovici and Boss for that. Maybe you don't like their methods, but end of the day it ended up vaulting OC into a splendid situation.
But, it's becoming increasingly clear that nobody wants Bercovici. The San Jose SaberCats recently found themselves in need of a new quarterback and they quickly made the call to Orange County, but they didn't even ask about Berc, they asked about Boss and Hunt, and ended up trading for Hunt- a mobile quarterback who hasn't played a single game. But that wasn't the most telling decision, no, the real head scratcher came when the Arizona Outlaws also came calling, and once again they didn't even broach the possibility of Bercovici- they asked about Mike Boss, and when Shaka obviously said no, the Outlaws GM decided to just have one of his own players switch positions in the middle of the season and take over at quarterback.
Uhm, what? I've seen the Outlaws roster, they could definitely use another active player, but elected instead to have King Bronko slide over. Colour me confused. "I was a bit surprised. I mean, at this point it's hilarious. I'm healthy, putting in work, I'm ready to go at any moment, and yet you got teams having players changing positions? It's insulting, and I'll remember this."
There's no telling when Bercovici will find himself a starting job, and if expansion doesn't happen he could find himself as a back up for a considerable stretch of time, but that isn't dampening his spirit any. "I'm just gonna keep controlling what I can control, keep putting in work and improving my game. When someone calls, ill be ready."
