Scorycory Mod Abuse Punishment

User @scorycory made an unauthorized edit to another user’s comment in a forum thread.



When approached regarding this, Cory admits to the action, saying he did edit the post as a joke.

While we understand that no real harm was intended, this is still an unacceptable use of moderation ability and qualifies as Moderation Abuse, defined HERE.

The standard punishment for Mod abuse on first offense is a $2 million fine and 2 seasons of moderation suspension. Given the circumstances, HO has decided to give a slight reduction on this punishment, as it is a single instance that is unlikely to be repeated. Should another instance occur, Scorycory will receive the full punishment for second offense.

As such, Scorycory will receive the following punishment

- $2,000,000 fine
-moderating suspension (restricted DSFL GM access) through the end of s20 (2/26/2020)


As with all decisions, Scorycory is eligible to appeal if he so chooses.
