Hello, my name is Kayleb Dotson and I am a prospect safety looking to be on a team in this upcoming draft. Since I’m new and the draft is soon, I felt this is the perfect need to do one of these. Ask me anything you would like!

What made you choose to play safety

Some of my favorite players in the NFL are Harrison Smith and Tyrann Mathieu, Safeties can set the tone on D and be the leader that a Defense might need, I want to be a Jamal Adams type of guy on D.

Have any teams reached out and scouted you so far? How are you finding the scouting process?

Tijuana and Minnesota have shown interest in me. I’m finding the scouting process very fun because I want teams to get to know me and see how I’m like before the draft.

Is there a particular team that you hope drafts you?

So far, I am very happy that Minnesota has reached out to me. I would love to play for the state I grew up in.

Is there a player who you model your playstyle after?

As said before, I hope to be a Jamal Adams in terms of leading the D and also a Harrison Smith who can play in the box or deep and set the tone for the game.

What are your goals for your rookie season in the DSFL

I want to make an impact, I want my team to win games. It’s not all about stats for me, if we’re winning then it’s fine.

Who is your favorite eagle headed football player?

Rapid Eagle on the Otters forsure.

Any other prospects that stand out to you?

I played against Dre Matthews out of Florida in college and can tell you he is a PROBLEM, not the smallest guy at 5’11 190 but he’s still fast and has great hands. Also as a fellow safety, Ed Ball out of Indiana is a great DB, and any team will be lucky to have him.

First impressions on the league?

Super confusing at first, but I’m getting the hang of it.

Anything you find particularly complicated?

Only thing complicated to me now is navigating the site.
