So, I have not been in the league long, I am a waiver pick-up with absolutely no historical knowledge in this league and not a lot of backstory, however one thing I can say, is that I have had the absolute best time playing in Norfolk, and with that, I’ve had the pleasure and honor of playing with the great group anyone could ever ask to play for.
When it comes to a team breakdown, a lot of the time statistics are but a number, however today, I decided to break down the whole team and see just where they rank among the rest. This will have a ton of work done and is likely going to be a huge piece, so I apologize for that. What I am going to be doing is taking each individual stat, breaking it down for each of our players, explaining where they are total in the leaderboards and how they impact the team. Like any good team, you need both a good offense and a shutdown defense to get the job done, and while Norfolk started off a hot mess, we’ve proven why we deserve to turn it around and how we can turn it around.
Without further ado, let’s begin with the offensive side of the ball, with…
QUARTERBACKS

COMP: 77 (8th)

RATING: 83.8 (2nd)
While we look at Ramza’s abilities and ponder why he’s so low, we have to remember that there are two main factors for this. Ramza is splitting duties with Skywalker, and the run game is used much more then the throwing game, which seems to be the consensus with a lot of teams. Even with that being said, in 130 attempts, he’s thrown more than half of those complete and manage to throw NO interceptions, that’s just crazy, 130 balls thrown, no interceptions, ponder that.

COMP: 67 (10th)
ATT: 120 (10th)
YARDS: 610 (10th)
TD: 4 (10th)
INT: 1 (T-2nd)
RATING: 77.4 (4th)
Again when reviewing the quarterbacks, at first glance, it looks pretty mediocre, and it really doesn’t stack up to the game of some of the prime quarterbacks, however even with a fairly lax throwing game, it looks impressive when broken down. Skywalker has managed almost identical yards to his counterpart, very similar percentage of complete-to-attempted and only throwing one interception up to this point while maintaining an excellent rating is just one of the reasons the Seawolves are extremely underrated at this position.

The dual-threat game continues as we review the runningback’s and we begin with none other than Sunrise who has some of the best numbers currently among the whole DSFL. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s obvious to see that his attempts are quite high, however when your primary game is running, it’s to be expected. The only thing that makes his numbers a little skewed would be his touchdowns but let’s be honest, he’s putting the team in great position game after game, so no fault of his own in my eyes.
![[Image: 3ZjTXj0.png]](https://imgur.com/3ZjTXj0.png)
ATT: 125 (14th)
YARDS: 682 (12th)
TD: 3 (T-6th)
As his counterpart, rookie Skrills is looking excellent when taking the snap and has proven that in his first season, he has what it takes to make it at this position. Obviously, we expect his attempts to be low, Sunrise is the obvious starter however in saying that, their attempts combined show that they are a unit and that is exactly what you want from a dominating tandem. With more than half of the attempts, it is also good to note his yards are quite good, his touchdowns also quite good for his attempts based on total league numbers, so he has nothing to be ashamed of here.
WIDE RECEIVERS / TIGHT ENDS

CATCHES: 47 (T-2nd)
YARDS: 363 (T-13th)
TD: 3 (T-3rd)
One of the many receiving options for Norfolk comes in the form of Haugland who has quite the impressive resume, and he does this in the form of a tight end to boot. While more notorious for pass and run blocking, this man makes other receivers look silly. Being tied for 2nd in the league for catches with 3 touchdowns to match, its insane that he has accomplished all this, but even more-so impressive then all of his numbers is that he is doing this…as a rookie. Keep your eyes open folks, big things coming from him.
![[Image: bUAFDoK.png]](https://imgur.com/bUAFDoK.png)
CATCHES: 27 (17th)
YARDS: 320 (14th)
TD: 3 (T-3rd)
When you look at Matthews, and then you look back over at Haugland, you see a very impressive resemblance and the team really isn’t mad about the results here. In half of the catches, Matthews has still managed to bring in quite a few yards and the same number of touchdowns as his brother in arms, and this must be a good feeling. Again, what is the best part about this is, just like Haugland, Matthews is also a rookie for his team and putting up great numbers. For a team that doesn’t throw much, you can’t complain about these results.
![[Image: RJTLMST.png]](https://i.imgur.com/RJTLMST.png)
CATCHES: 23 (27th)
YARDS: 222 (23rd)
TD: 1 (T-5th)
I hate to toot my own horn or talk about my own player, so I won’t ramble on too much with a breakdown. Another rookie player, actually playing two less games then everyone else, however still putting up numbers. I was able to achieve my first touchdown which was historic for me, and it only took me 23 catches to do so. While my yards are low, I expect them to rise as I get more attempts but for now, this is very fair and I appreciate the opportunities I have been given.
![[Image: N2UVVEN.png]](https://i.imgur.com/N2UVVEN.png)
CATCHES: 16 (32nd)
YARDS: 161 (29th)
TD: 2 (T-4th)
While his catches are slightly behind the other crew, his numbers are really quite good and the fact that his breakdown is 10 yards/catch this is quite impressive, basically guaranteeing you a 1st down every single time. With that being said, he is another rookie, one of plenty on the receiving core who is showing his moves, putting in his work and giving the team a lot of hope at this position. He also has 2 touchdowns which is quite impressive for his underrated catching number.
![[Image: u1TwFpQ.png]](https://i.imgur.com/u1TwFpQ.png)
CATCHES: 9 (36th)
YARDS: 34 (45th)
TD: 0 (UNR)
Another tight end on the shorter end of the spectrum here, however nothing to be ashamed of, is rookie Hopkins who is just not getting the ball as much. While we know he can do better, and perform better, the ball just needs to be thrown in his direction if its ever going to pan out. That being said, he’s still an active part of the team and should be displayed as such, we know he will be doing great things for us sooner rather than later.
![[Image: qbbsKXR.png]](https://i.imgur.com/qbbsKXR.png)
CATCHES: 1 (42nd)
YARDS: 8 (50th)
TD: 0 (UNR)
Not too sure what really all to say about Koh, despite being slotted in for all the games, he’s just not being used and because of such, there isn’t a lot of statistical data to go off of. All I know is that all receivers are part of the core and as such, he makes the list, however don’t expect much from him if this trend stays up where he only gets 1 catch every 10 games…oof.

What can you want out of a kicker? Despite seeing 7th and 6th and whatever else, the man is pretty damn accurate. Bauer is near perfect on his XPM/XPA as well as FGM/FGA and is perfect on everything small to mid-range, as well as near perfect on his long-range bombs. When he goes out there to kick, let it be known, the guy gets it done and we’re proud to have him on the team being able to kick to the extent that he is.
And with those done, we now begin on the defensive side of the ball with…

An impressive beginning to our defensive breakdown brings us to none other than linebacker Scott, who is at least 3rd in most major statistics and actually is one of the few linebackers to even have a defensive touchdown in the league. This impressive feat is just one of the many reasons Scott and the whole Norfolk defense has been such a prime core of their success and will continue to be a dominating force. Scott has everything to gain and nothing to lose as he looks to climb the ranking in tackles to make his numbers even more scary.

While there is a lot of 0’s towards the end of his stat line, his abilities still do not go unnoticed in any way, shape or form. Marshall has an effective amount of hits, averaging a little over 8 per game, as well as those forced fumbles which is key and even more-so for a linebacker, those 4 sacks. He proves his abilities here, and alongside Scott, they make a pretty dominant tandem. With the rest of the team, this defense as previously mentioned shows exactly why Norfolk2good.

Uh…wow? When reviewing this, I knew our team was beastly, but look at this mans overall stats and tell me you are not impressed. As a linebacker he is 2nd in many crucial statistics despite having a lesser tackle total to his counterparts, this is one impressive dude. Banks is showing up every game and doing something, sacking, intercepting, deflecting passes, and even getting a touchdown, he does it all. God, I love doing breakdowns of our team, you find out the damnedest things.

Starting us off for the men who cover the receivers is Bumper, who honestly isn’t doing too bad for himself in any of the major departments. He’s forced a fumble; he’s got plenty of tackles to spread around and he has quite a few deflections to boot. I’m sure he’d love to have more interceptions but patience is a virtue and he will get there eventually. Right now, he’s contributing a lot to the team and helping where is needed, and that’s all a team can ask of a player.

Let the good times keep rolling, and Brosley certainly does just that. While his tackles are low, we’re going to take a look at some huge statistics, such as interceptions and deflections which are just…impressive as heck. 11 deflections in 10 games? No one can catch the ball with this man around, and 4 interceptions leading the league? C’mon now, this man is on fire… Honestly again just impressed with our defensive core and this just makes it even more impressive to me.

When looking at safeties, who is to say what is good and what is bad? Should they have deflections? Safeties? Touchdowns? Maybe… however de Pengu is having himself a great year and should be proud of what he has accomplished as a rookie thus far. A great amount of tackles as well as the two fumbles he caused and recovered is great news, he even has himself a sack which is kind of unheard of as a safety, usually that’s the linebackers doing. Overall, a great career starter for this young man and nothing to be ashamed of, a lot of potential in this one.

Again, when looking at our safeties, who is to count out Jadakiss? I sure don’t. Tackles could be better, we’d all love to tackle all day everyday as a defensive player, but the overall scope honestly is doing the job and getting work done. Matching the counterpart of de Pengu, Jadakiss is showing up with 2 fumbles caused and recovered as well as an interception which is a little bit better than half of the league’s safeties. Will we see more excellence from Jadakiss? Absolutely, just have to give it some time and we’ll see the blossoming of a star.

I love the way we’re starting things off here, with none other than Karpaasi, a rookie who is absolutely strutting his stuff and making a huge impact on the game. This man has tackles, this man has a TON of losses, he has sacks, what more could you want? He’s a big body out there, who is really making the offensive units around the league work, and even when they try, he’s making them fail. It’s absolutely crazy that he is averaging these numbers and it’s just the beginning, he’s got a lot of leeway ahead of him.

On the same side of things, you have The White who is again helping his team where it’s needed. He seems like more of the roaming type but still has the necessary stats to stay relevant which is great. I’m sure again he’d be a player who would like to see more losses secured but overall, his numbers are only going to get better and that is what truly counts. The White can be relied on and reliability is key in the eyes of the beholder.

And in his own right, Brownce come’s up in quite a lot of conversation for being a disturbance and a menace on the field and this is causing quite a scene around the league. His losses are huge, right up there with his pal Karpaasi and his sacks identical to that of The White. While he’d love to have some more sacks, let’s be honest, he’s working the field to his advantage and completely wrecking it. We love having him out there for this very reason, he makes people mad, and makes us happy. Win-win in my eyes.

To finish things off, our rookie Sinclair who is having himself a pretty steady year. The losses here…well they are a loss, missing to be exact haha. Nevertheless, he’s got a fumble, he’s got some sacks, he’s still out there hitting, he’s doing what we need out of our defensive unit and he’s attributing in everything major otherwise. Will he get a loss eventually? Sure, and will it be bliss? Absolutely. For now, we just enjoy what he’s providing and not stray away from the greatness. [/div]

[/div]
