[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Hello, and Welcome to Sapp’s Season 23 NSFL Mock Draft Version 1.0! The only full 8 round Mock Draft so far. Everything in here is based off of the update done on 5/16, DSFL stats up to week 10, and draft order based on the NSFL standings as of Week 12. I hope you enjoy it. If you notice anything off (stats, draft order, etc.) let me know. I probably wont change anything, but it is good to know so I can watch for it for version 2.0 :eyes:
also, shoutout to Daybe and Valor for helping with some of the writing.[/div]

The last Linebacker on the board is Arik Eller out of the University of New Hampshire. He showed promise as a running back for the Bird Dogs this season, but coach wanted to switch things up and moved him to linebacker. This might have killed his career as he has yet to put up meaningful stats on that side of the ball. He has shown the ability to learn a position quickly, and many scouts are impressed with his dedication of his craft, but he will need to put in much more work if he finds his calling on the defensive side of the ball rather than the offensive side.

Sean Reynolds, another player coming from the great country of Ireland, has shown little promise so far in the DSFL. His stats show he has recorded 43 tackles and a single pass deflection in his time with the Kansas City Coyotes. He is not living up to his hype coming out of DCU, but has shown flashes of mediocrity. If he can bottle that up, he may become a nice role player on a roster, but until then, he will be battling for a roster spot in the DSFL.

The product out of the University of Colorado has struggled in his ten games with the Kansas City Coyotes, only recording one tackle for a loss and no sacks despite his 30 tackles. Defensive linemen are always needed in the league, but if he doesn’t show up to play, no one will want him on their roster. The Outlaws will take a flyer on him here in the seventh round, but expectations are not high for Diego.

The cornerback from Great Falls, Montana is a project player. His player definitely has room to grow, and he possesses some physical attributes you just can’t teach, like his big, 6’1” frame. He shows some promise, but it seems he has disappeared recently. If a general manager can coax him back to the practice field, there’s definitely something to be had here.

Coming from San Jose State, Brady Matthis was hoping to make a big impact in the DSFL, but failed to make an impression on NSFL scouts. Despite his decent numbers for a DSFL tight end, Matthis game just will not translate to the pro league like he had hoped. He is too slow to out run linebackers and too weak to body up cornerbacks and safeties. He will need to do some serious work if he wants a shot at catching balls in the pro league one day.

With their second to last pick of the draft here in round 7, the Colorado Yeti select Rick Casey, Tight End out of Arizona State University and the Dallas Bird Dogs. Casey did not record a reception in his limited play so far this season, but he did record a single pancake with no sacks allowed, so it is not all bad from the prospect. Tight Ends are always a necessity in the league, and grabbing one here hoping for a miracle that he comes back and improves into a usable player is not a bad idea.

Another OL prospect that may not see time in the NSFL. Made Cays had high hopes coming out of the university of Tennessee, but has faltered as he has tried to make his way into the DSFL. His technical blocking has been just fine, but he is quickly overpowered by the stronger, more muscular defensive linemen in the DSFL. In 10 games he has only given up one sack, but the pressures on the QB and the lack of a running game are coming from the lack of play on the offensive line. Made will need to hit the weight room if he ever hopes of succeeding in the NSFL.

Jahlani has struggled to make an impression on the Bird dogs short franchise, which is a problem for a draft hopeful. As a defensive end, it is always a sought after position, but they may still find trouble outclassing even the oldest of vets that are on the verge or retirement. Look for Jahlani to continue their fight to make a starting spot on the Bird dogs for some time before challenging for an NSFL roster spot.

Mr Name has shown that he can improve, but the quality and quantity of improvement are lacking. As a CB, he will have trouble keeping up even with DSFL receivers, let alone NSFL receivers. Johnston is a very raw prospect, who’s game is currently limited. His game really lacks polish, which is concerning for a pass rusher. He was unable to find carries on the field so far through 10 games, but some teams are optimistic that he could be a fill in full back if times get tough. A Boston College prospect, Benji Raji never made enough of an impact on the field of play. He showed up for 4 games for the Royals, but despite racking up 6 tackles in those games, the coaches elected to sit him the remaining games of the season. He may make an appearance in one of their final four games of the season, but that is only wishful thinking. He will need to improve greatly before stepping foot on the field again, let alone making an impact great enough to find a spot on an NSFL roster.

Despite hailing from the great university of Princeton, Atossa has struggled to pick up the Birddogs playbook and will likely see the same challenges if he ever makes it above practice squad level with a team. He has played in two games for the Birddogs and has only made one tackle. If he can show that he can learn the playbook, maybe he will make a roster spot, but don’t count on it right now.

Jim Namen Jr out of the University of Central Florida, and has had a decent start to the season. He has forced two fumbles and 3 sacks in 10 games. However, his play style will most likely not translate to the National League as he rarely pressures quarterbacks. He will need to train much harder if he wants to see time on an NSFL roster in the future.

Harrison Leavers has struggled a lot in the DSFL since coming out of the University of Minnesota. With a single catch going for 6 yards, there is very little chance that he makes in the pro league, let alone continue to make an impact in the DSFL without training more.

The third generation of the grate cheese dynasty is here, and probably wont go any further. Dick Cheese the third’s father and grandfather tried making it into the ranks of the NSFL, but failed to do anything notable. Dickie, unless his routine has changed, will be following in their footsteps. Look for him to show up in a couple DSFL games for the Luchadores. He has played in every game this season, but is recording less than two tackles per game. One could say it is because of his great coverage skills, but we know that not to be true.

The second offensive line prospect from Tijuana is a lot less exciting than the first one. However, given Tijuana and their track record of developing offensive linemen, you can’t write him off just yet. Hop is somebody worth a late round flier, because he’s a locker room guy, and maybe somebody who could find a roster spot late in his career.

The safety out of the University of Michigan has yet to see the field for the pythons, and that is why he will be Mr. irrelevant season 23. He has shown no ability so far to improve himself on the pythons, but with time and if he shows a passion for his craft, he may be able to find his way to become a starter with the pythons and maybe a depth piece on a NSFL team some day.
