At the beginning of the season, I had an idea. I was just looking through all the rookies we had drafted, just to see how people were doing, and saw that it would be beneficial for everyone to get some money. So I decided to hold a document, with some questions, hoping that would be enough to get them, some extra money. But too boost the word count, I will go onto the Honolulu budget page and say stuff about all the active members, and then we can go to the rookies section.
First off, what do I think about Honolulu. Well lets see, here are some facts about Honolulu locker room. Out of the 8-9 sim leagues I am in, ranging from. EFL, SBA, SHL, VHL, PBE, etc, Honolulu locker room is my favorite. We got Dwyer and Raven who are with no doubt awesome GMs, who even though they make questionable GM decisions, like drafting Dwyer in the second round, make up for it with their personality. Honolulu is where I ended up going on my first ever podcast(props to Raven for setting. that up, also props to Dwyer for ditching us). Honolulu is the team, that even though every single of the 10 teams that scouted me, asked if I would switch positions, and I said no, I still ended up switching just cause I love the team so much. Also, its the only place where i consistently say good night and good morning too. Now to talk about the members, ill also add some of the DSFL members I know, cause why not.
For my DSFL team, the. Luchadores. Did not know what to expect when I joined the team, considering I was on Myrtle Beach before. But I met some very cool guys, like mithrandir and ded baegel and cute Jpach. Love you all, and thank you for paying for my pop tarts. Also won that Ultimini with yall, my first "meaningful" championship(smh still think Prospect Bowl is the. superior competition to everything) and now I have a trophy next to my name, without actually doing any work for it.
First off,
A shoutout to @JPach, hes cute. And no he did not pay me to say that. I would say he is Literally just a Bulli, but we can go with hes a hexagon.
@Raven - As mentioned before, Raven was the one who set up my first ever podcast. He is a super nice guy, even though he does try to shank people occasionally. He decided to take a chance on me in the NSFL Draft, even though no one else wanted too, in the 108thish pick. He also helped me set up my test simming stuff for the first time, which includes helping me set up sim, helping me get an autoclicker, helping me export strats to a sheet, and helping me analyze all the data.
@siddhus - First off, I am in the wrong place on the budget sheet, smh my head, im a Cornerback now. But all I wanna say is, #Waters4GM
@gucci - Did not know him much before he became DSFL Expansion GM, but he is a pretty cool guy, who is one of the guys in the war room. He has pretty good insight and is apparently making something to make sim testing much easier, so psyched for that(or is it siked?).
@KC15 - Have a long history with my man, KC. He is currently my PBE GM, forcing me to update, smh my head. Probably the only reason I am active in PBE. Know him from when he was on my EFL team, where we went 0-16 two seasons in a row together, love u bb. He was my first teammate on that. team, when I was in my first ever sim league.
@Vexatious - have not seen him a lot recently, but Vex is an awesome guy who I know from back when I was on Myrtle Beach. He is super nice, and love whenever he comes for a bit too talk in locker room.
@morsy - First off, thank you for actually doing the document, smh. Only 4 of yall did it, and luckily you will get your money now. You are one of the elite S22 prospects on our team, to make up our awesome S22 rookie core.
@[Skynet] - Budget sheet says ur bots, so thank you for not taking over the world, and protecting Raven from getting hurt.
@ItsJustBarry - Probably our most active non-GM war room member, one of our older guys that actually updates so thank you for making our team actually decent. You seem like a cool guy so thanks.
@evryday - Know you arent. that active in NSFL, but just in sim leagues in general, thank. you. for helping me out when I was just starting out.
@TheRocheLimit - probably our most active Season 22 player who is in the discord, so cool to be able to talk to people in the discord. One of our callups this season, so hope you win DRotY
@[FurFurson] - Im pretty sure you have the most TP for S22 players in our team, and a part of our epic defensive back revolution so always good to see you.
@Number 82 - one of our actually consistent sim testers that knows whats going on. You and Raven are the only reason why we even win any games, so thank you. Now gib interception.
@Baron1898 - very nice guy, but doesnt let me in PPT
. Love you Baron, since your the only reason Honolulu even gets awards rip.
@ADwyer87 - idk what to say. Hard to think of something nice about you. But in fear of getting cut, Dwyer is the coolest guy I know. runs the uno league, which is actually lowkey interesting. I love him, and he doesnt love me, so thats basically it.
@AL_GRINGO - love you. See you in almost every league, and you are cool everywhere, always happy to see you in the Tijuana Locker Room. Hope that Weather League goes well.
@scorycory - First guy who taught me how things worked in NSFL, back at Myrtle Beach. I love you. Also the guy, who I actually talked to before retiring my last player, which just proves how much I trust and value your opinion.
Rookie Questions
1. How has your first season in the league been?
Faded-My first season in the league has been great! I have met so many new people and have so many plans for my future in this league!
Eert- really fun, everyone here seems polite and the league is really well run.
Blaster - First season back has been pretty fun, glad to see new and old faces around. Was pretty surprised how well Blade McCoy played in my first season though.
W. Alexander: Pretty good. The NSFL is definitely a higher level of play compared to the DSFL but it was a great learning experience. Can’t wait for our next year.
2. What are you the most excited to do, now that you are in the NSFL?
Faded-I’m most excited to just play some good football in the league.
Eert - DESTROY JOE’S DREAMS, I mean uhhhhh, win a championship!!
Blaster - Win championships and progress towards the Hall of Fame.
W. Alexander: I was already in the NSFL last season, but I’m looking forward to some friendly competition for the wide receiver spots and score some points this year. And of course help the team reach the playoffs.
3. How do you feel about where you were drafted?
Faded-Honestly, I came in with no expectations about where I was gonna get drafted to, so I just overall feel great about where I am now!
Eert- Disappointed. Wanted to go either 69th or last pick. But 63OA is the new 69 sooooo…
Blaster - Honestly did not really mind where I went in the draft. It was a fun experience watching all my fellow Dallas Birddogs out there getting drafted as well.
W. Alexander: Doesn’t really matter. What counts is the production on the field.
4. What do you like about the Honolulu Franchise?
Faded-I feel great that I am trusted to be a member of a young and hungry franchise, and I’m optimistic of the future of this team.
Eert - Dwyer is here (: also we 100% are gonna win it all.
Blaster - I don’t know much about the Honolulu team, or any team in the NSFL for that matter, I’ve just been out of the league for way too long. Hopefully I can help this team win.
W. Alexander: We have a lot of very talented guys that will grow into stars in the league. Our GMs know what they’re doing, as you can see from last year’s results. Got some nice wins against highly favored teams and some unlucky losses that really should have been wins for us.
5. How do you think you will do next season, now that you have one season under your belt?
Faded-I believe that I haven’t peaked quite yet, and it’s still all uphill from here, so I’ll do great next season!
Eert - I wouldn’t say that I had a full season under my belt, I took a break which led to the season almost over when I came back /:
Blaster - I expect to go back down to the DSFL next season, but even if I stay in the NSFL, I expect to play well no matter where I play.
W. Alexander: There’s always room for improvement and I know I have a lot more to give the team. I’ll be a better player this season and I hope that will make me a more valuable member of the offense.
5. What advice would you give to S24 rookies that just joined the league?
Faded-Never stop learning. Getting around the league and being a sponge that soaks up information will help you out in the long run and get to places that you would never think of getting too.
Eert - If you aren’t winning, your losing.
Blaster - Learn from players who are succeeding in the same position you play. Follow in their footsteps.
W. Alexander: Always try to be the best version of yourself.
6. What is your favorite part of the league so far?
Faded-The community. Everyone is either happy to be here, or just a shitposter, and I’m happy to say that I’m in both camps for that lmap.
Blaster - The people have made it fun to stick around but the game days are the most exciting parts for me of course.
W. Alexander: The games of course. The people are also nice and there’s a lot of friendly competition.
7. Who do you like better Raven or Dwyer?
Faded-I like mommy better and you two can decide who is mommy and who is daddy.
Eert - No comment. Dwyer destroys uno dreams.
Blaster - I have not met Raven yet, but I know Dwyer from S1 Outlaws so I am a little biased.
W. Alexander: Yes.
8. What are your future goals with your player?
Faded-Just to grow. I want to grow and rise the ranks of being a player, I want to be the head honcho of this position, and I want to dominate on the field.
Eert - not be a bust. 300 career yards.
Blaster - Win multiple rings, Hall of Fame, etc… Who wouldn’t want to aim for the top?
W. Alexander: Help the team win the Ultimus.
9. How do you think Honolulu will do next season?
Faded-After an unfortunate start in the season, I believe that the pieces that you guys have acquired will bring you to a run of the mill 6-7 or 7-6. This is still a young franchise with a lot to get learning with so I am not so confident to say that we are gonna make a run to the Ultimus, but we will certainly improve.
Eert - Win it all. Why? Because I’m here.
Blaster - Not sure, I do not know much about the team. We’re aiming for the Ultimus though.
W. Alexander: Reach the playoffs. Once you’re there, everything is possible.
