One of the stranger stories in the NSFL, Mike Rotchburns (named after his Great Aunt) was born at sea, and raised there for the next month before he finally set foot on solid ground. Now I know it was only a month.. but that's still pretty cool! Regardless, Rotchburns ended up going to public school his whole life, starting football at a young age. There was one big difference though, he was playing offensive line. Rotchburns was already 6 feet tall by the time he hit middle school, far too big to ever play running back, and not even close to slim enough to go out wide and catch some passes. The one thing that Rotchburns did possess however, was a high motor, he never quit out on a play. In high school his coach had the great idea to give Rotchburns the ball on the 2 yard line, needless to say he pumped it in to the endzone. From that day forth, the kid was getting 20 carries a game, 20 turned to 30, he lost 40 pounds in the off season and came back at a solid 225, and 6'2 to boot. He was impossible to take down, and after dominating his high school opponenets, Rotchburns went on to LSU where he led his entire conference in touchdowns with 16 in 13 games his sophomore season, and again his junior season. He had a bit of a bittersweet end to his college career, in the 2037 College Football Season, LSU lost 2 games and didn't make the final 4 of college football. They had to settle for a meaningless bowl game. Needless to say, the Tigers smoked the Florida Gators 45-10 in that game, with Rotchburns scoring four times. Now we're here, Rotchburns has a shot at making the NSFL. And hey, rumor has it he may even go as a first rounder.
