While the Brooklyn Atlantics were not supposed to be world beaters in the prospect bowl, it would be fair to claim that they were utterly disappointing in their 2 losses to the Amarillo Tumbleweeds. They were not close in either game, and only managed to muster a single touchdown.
"I feel like we all let our defense down. The blocking was horrible, the passing was horrible, the run game was held to less than 100 yards per game, and we dropped so many g******* passes that the few that we did catch were almost a surprise."
While Callous and Newton caught for a decent chunk of yards, Pama noted that drops were a huge issue, especially for Callous.
"Not like I'm much better in that department, 20 yards over 2 games? 4 catches and 2 drops? I had better performances than those 2 games combined as a WR5 back in Freshman year of College. And I'm supposed to be a star prospect now!"
Pama, who has openly talked about how poorly he views his current Quarterback is as a prospect in the past, says his play has been extremely disappointing as well.
"You're a mobile QB and you can't get more than 1 yard per game on the ground? And you're the worst passer in the league? Hell, the other running quarterback leads the prospect bowl in yards on the ground and has the best f******** passer rating to go along with it, not sure how that happened considering Holloway's supposedly even worse at passing than Peterson is."
Pama says what hurts most about the prospect bowl, though, is that he knows he and his team are much better than they showed themselves to be.
"It's almost unbearable, I know that I'm better than at least half the guys who performed better than me yesterday, I just...it felt like I couldn't show my true potential then. I don't know if it was nerves, or the bright lights, or maybe just if it was one of the worst off days of my life, but I know that I'm faster and stronger and better at catching balls than I showed yesterday. I just...couldn't show it and I don't know why."
Despondent, Pama said he was hoping against hope that what he was told about the prospect bowl was true and that his draft stock and his team's draft stock wouldn't be punished too heavily, and that he was hoping he was going to do much better over the next two weeks.
"If not...I don't know what's going to happen, but it can't be anything good. If we don't perform well, then I myself will go off in the locker room after the game and might yell at a few people in the process."
