While I don't know everyone, there were obviously a lot of known name in this draft, so I will talk about some of the people in detail and give my thoughts on what I saw in this draft.
1 pick - Portland selects - Davriel Lavigne - Safety - Raven
Raven is obviously a really well known sim leaguer, especially in the ISFL and feels like a very deserving first overall pick. Always good to get one of the big recreate names when you have a top pick.
4 pick - Tijuana selects - NationalSimulation FootballLeague - Safety - SDCore
I love SD and this is a really funny name. That graphic of his "render" actually really broke me on stream and I was laughing my ass off at this.
14 pick - Dallas selects - Guy Fields - Linebacker - Rotzbua
I don't know @rotzbua yet but I know based on the name that he is a fellow German speaker. Amazing username and I am excited to see what he can do.
16 pick - Norfolk selects - Dukburg Quakstak - Cornerback - BWestfield
Westy is definitely a big user here, and should be a very good pick for a team here. Another big recreate name obviously, and with a lot of history. Also really loved this render although I have no idea what the fuck it is.
19 pick - Myrtle Beach selects - Hank Winchester - Linebacker - Timeconsumer
When this pick first happened, I was shocked that TC fell this far, but they explained on stream that he wants to be called up after a season, at which point I must criticize this pick a bit. I feel like with how many amazing players are in this draft, taking someone this early who is gonna be gone after a year seems like a bad choice.
20 pick - Tijuana selects - Bronko Mills - Running Back - PaytonM34
Another big recreate name and NOLA legend, Payton is a great guy and I can't wait to see what he can do. Running back is an interesting choice!
25 pick - Portland selects - Dave Batista - Tight End - Frick Nasty
Love this name and render and thought it was pretty funny. Frick obivously another big recreate name as well.
28 pick - Tijuana selects - Tex Wrecks - Defensive End - 209 tacos
I absolutely adore tacos and he is obviously one of the players in this draft from my San Antonio Sloths PBE team. Tacos is arguably the best graphics guy in the PBE and I cannot wait to see some of that here as well, I think he will be great. Him, another Sloth and I have a bit of a competition going on and seeing this huge draft class, I think we will have some other challengers as max earners in this class as well, but I fully expect tacos to be a top guy in this draft class.
36 pick - Tijuana selects - Terry Tate - Linebacker - Brane Chyld
Obviously as stated on stream, tacos and brane are close friends. Highly recommend a podcast they made together in the PBE while out camping, was a really cool listen. Brane has been taken under the wing of tacos in the PBE and has been a top earner there so far, and I expect him to do similar here. This pick made a lot of sense for Tijuana to get friends here.
38 pick - Dallas selects - Mark Callous - Wide Receiver - McCransky
I don't know this user at all but I love the shoutout to the Undertaker with the name and the render. We obviously have quite a few wrestling fans here but this is another great addition.
47 pick - Portland selects - Donald McBobby - Linebacker - Bjbren
Bobby is the other San Antonio Sloth I talked about previously and I honestly cannot fathom how he fell this far. He is a fantastic earner and part of the war room in San Antonio and someone who is very dependent and will be a great earner here. I have no doubt bren will be taken a lot higher in a season in the majors draft and I fully expect Portland to have gotten a huge steal here. Me, Bobby and tacos are gonna fight for that TPE lead!
75 pick - Myrtle Beach selects - Medicinal Toblerone - Offensive Line - JuOSu
Well here I am myself. I thought 75 was a bit high for me based on what I told teams. As mentioned on stream, I am likely banking all my TPE this season and in no way worth a pick, that's why I fell so far. I was hoping to be drafted after the 100th pick but oh well. I should still be one of the bigger differences between DSFL and ISFL draft picks next season I think. Will be interesting to see how that changes and how I can get on in this draft class.
84 pick - Tijuana selects - Owen Holloway - Quarterback - Speculadora
Another big recreate name and spec obviously deserves a lot of recognition and I am sure he will also be much higher next season
Anyway, that's all the names I wanted to make comments about. Based on this list, I feel like to me, Tijuana really fucking killed it in this draft and I would imagine they look very strong going forward. I would not be shocked if they end up being one of the premier teams in the future.
I will also say that I am sorry if I didn't mention you! I don't know many of the reddit people yet but I hope over time that I get to know some of you better and further understand why people are being taken so highly or why they are loved that much. Can't wait to be on a team with some of you in the future or to see your writing or podcasts or similar.
And obviously lastly I will say I cannot wait to fight you all for the #1 spot in TPE. I think there are a ton of different options for who this might be in the future. There are a ton of great users in this draft, both recreates and new reddit guys or guys from other leagues. So, we will see what happens in the future.
