The preseason has ended and with the new season starting on Thursday, I wanted to evaluate and go over the numbers each tight end put up through the four games of the preseason. There are a lot of promising rookies and electrifying returning players to go over. I will try to give my best insight as to which team has the best set of tight ends.
Portland Pythons:
We start with the two tight ends of the Pythons Julian Joseph and Dave Batista. Portland has two promising rookie tight ends at their disposal but it seems the preseason did not go over too well for Julian recording no stats over the four games played. Dave Batista, another rookie, had a great start, let us hope he can keep up his good numbers throughout the season. Combined they only put up Batista's numbers.
POR Julian Joseph Pancakes:0 Rec:0 Yards:0 TD:0
POR Dave Batista Pancakes:0 Rec:13 Yards:68 TD:0
Kansas City Coyotes:
The Coyotes also have two tight ends, Histoyof Tampering and Rigby Raccoon. Historyof is a bot player and Rigby is a returning player. While they both recorded stats during the preseason, Rigby had a much better stat total. But the total stats the two put up are 8 pancakes, 20 receptions, 180 yards, and 1 touchdown. I think the Coyote's can have a good passing season with Rigby leading their tight ends corps.
KC Historyof Tampering Pan:3 Rec:4 Yards:17 TD:0
KC Rigby Raccoon Pan:5 Rec:16 Yards:163 TD:1
London Royals
The London Royals run two tight ends as well. They consist of offensive lineman turned blocking tight end Joe Show and returning player Frank Michell. Together these two form a formidible pass and blocking duo recording the most combined pancakes at 13. The rest of their combined stats are 21 receptions, 146 yards, and 0 touchdowns. These two will provide a multitude of different schemes for the Royals to utilize.
LON Joe Show Pan:6 Rec:5 Yards:21 TD:0
LON Frank Michell Pan:7 Rec:16 Yards:125 TD:0
Minnesota Grey Ducks
The Grey Ducks strength is not their passing attack this year but it is their ground game which will take them far. The Ducks run a two tight end set comprised of Cleg Manclaw and Stephon Trummer. Cleg put up the league high of 12 pancakes as a tight end, an impressive number. Their combined stats total up to 12 pancakes, 13 receptions, 97 yards, and 0 touchdowns. With the powerful one two punch the Ducks use for their running backs, Cleg is a mighty tool for them to have on the outside.
MIN Cleg manclaw Pan:12 Rec:6 Yards:39 TD:0
MIN Stephon Trummer Pan:0 Rec:7 Yards:58 TD:0
Norfolk Seawolves
The Seawolves have a total of four tight ends on their roster. Because of this the Seawolves can use all of these big bodies in multiple different blocking packages. The tight ends they use are Flap'N Chick, Ragnar Krashwagen, CJ Hopkins, and Reynaud Haugland. Only Ragnar and Flap put up any numbers during the preseason, Ragnar leading their totals. The Seawolves tight ends put up a total of 4 pancakes, 19 receptions, 160 yards, and 0 touchdowns.

NOR Ragnar Krashwagen Pan:2 Rec:17 Yards:143 TD:0
NOR CJ Hopkins Pan:0 Rec:0 Yards:0 TD:0

Myrtle Beach Buccaneers
The Buccaneers have three tight ends they use which consist of Djibutee McJimmerson, Gabr Spladle, and Ne Mo. Gabr and Dijibutee are both rookies this year but both were able to contribute, Dijibutee even put together very impressive stat totals. All together the Myrtle Beach tight ends put up a total of 7 pancakes, 27 receptions, 335 yards, and four touchdowns. This group put up the highest total touchdowns of any DSFL tight end group.
MB Djibutee McJimmerson Pan:5 Rec:12 Yards:105 TD:1
MB Gabr Spadle Pan:2 Rec:1 Yards:6 TD:0
MB Ne Mo Pan:1 Rec:14 Yards:224 TD:3
Tijuana Luchadores
The Luchadores have a very lackluster tight end group. While the Luchadores have three tight ends at their disposal, only one of them put up any numbers. Of the three, which comprise of Colt Reinhorn, Jake Woodhead, and Greg Young, only Woodhead put up any stats. His totals are listed below. If this group does not improve, they will not make a huge impact on the Luchadores win rate.
TIJ Colt Reinhorn Pan:0 Rec:0 Yards:0 TD:0
TIJ Jake Woodhead Pan:7 Rec:9 Yards:42 TD:0
TIJ Greg Young Pan:0 Rec:0 Yards:0 TD:0
Dallas Birddogs
And last, but not least, the Dallas Birddogs. Dallas had, in my opinion, the best tight end group of in the DSFL. Their double headed pass catchers pose a threat to anyone in the league if not defended well. Comprised of Tristan Hex and rookie Cmon Skiuuup, these two put up amazing numbers. In total the two put up 8 pancakes, 45 receptions, 440 yards, and 1 touchdown. Dallas' tight end group led the DSFL in receptions and yards, I can see these two doing some damage.
DAL Cmon Skiuuup Pan:5 Rec:19 Yards:165 TD:1
DAL Tristan Hex Pan:3 Rec:26 Yards:275 TD:0

The DSFL season starts this Thursday and I am very excited to track the progress of all of the returning players but most importantly the upcoming stars. I most look forward to watching Cleg Manclaw, Cmon Skiuuup, and Dijibutee McJimmerson, I feel like these three have what it takes to win tight end of the year.
