[This is 2664 words long and is my very first piece of media so it should be x2. It is ready to be graded.]
Okay so this will be my very first piece of media that I have ever done so I was hoping for a little bit of a break here. I am sure I will get better at doing this as time goes on since I know what the character of my player is going to be like but will just need the time or I guess experience to be able to nail this in formatting. So please forgive me if this can turn into a out of character and in character type of situation but since only a limited amount of people know me it is quite decently important to say who I am.
So I go by Pau Adrian. (Pau is said 'Pow' and not 'Paw' just so you know. This is my very first simulation league that takes place on a website forum. I think the only people who have a hope of knowing me are the people who are in TLK's Axis Football sim league called the Super Casual Football Simulation League. In that league I am known as either Pau or what my player is called. The Sanch.
The Sanch's face claim is Mark Sanchez cause the dudes face is a walking meme which I love. I will now be doing Tim Tebow in here but we will get to that soon enough.
In that league I play on of the scariest Defensive Lineman who get silly amount of sacks and multiple time winner of Defensive Lineman of the Year and now find myself as the co-General Manager of the Toronto Rush. Thanks to that league having no tampering rule I can now cross league post that you are welcome to join the locker room if you want and come join us and only us as we go forward.
Now that I have successfully converted you into joining my team I should tell you about myself a little more. I am new to forum based simulation leagues and mainly giving this a 'fair rub' (Laszlo Forty-Two told me to say this. I think is making fun of me but he says it is a funny may may that will break the ice or something) and seeing how much fun this league is. I may not really like it or find this to be way too much hard of work to do but at the very least I know I can dominate the Development Simulation Football League or DSFL as it is usually known as. He also taught me how to abuse media.
It is pretty good to see a handful of people that I do know from the Super Casual Football Sim League actually. Ben and Payton from the Rush are on the Luchadores to my fairly limited knowledge. I have to say I quite like the design of a lot of teams. The Norfolk Seawolves have a great logo and not only are people I know and like on Tijuana Luchadores I am from Mexico and love wrestling so quite the perfect combo.
The only thing I have done similar to this type of media I guess would be about 10 years ago me and Laszlo Forty-Two met on a wrestling forum and were both into efedding. If you do not know what that is then I envy you. But basically you create a wrestler like you would a player here and then write pieces of media as promos on whatever your character was doing at the time. It was pretty fun honestly.
I am just hoping that I can have as much fun in that as I did in that.
So let us move onto the next part of this and talk about my character. Introducing to you all. The best Tight End in the 26th season of regression in International Simulation Football League. The Vertical archetype - Tom Teboat!
This will probably shock you but I will just reveal that my face claim for my character is Tim Tebow. But not the National Football League version of him. Only the baseball version or super hero version.
You see if I am brutally honest, this sport is not one of my favourite sports. My first two loves are wrestling and Association Football (Save Wigan Athletic) and then at a push baseball. I do not really know how this game works nor even how any video simulation game works either. But that is okay! Because Tom Teboat genuinely thinks that this league is actually the Pro Baseball Experience. Hence why I use baseball Tim Tebow.
Also just as a sidenote, when making Tom Teboat I was genuinely shocked to see he was in AAA baseball now and keeps going up a division every season. I thought he pulled a Michael Jordan and everything.
Tom Teboat is a batsman who is pretty good at fielding. Which translates well as a Tight End since he does not really know what to do when he caught the ball. Like...At all.
He is a bit of an idiot but this is why I think you will love reading what he gets up to when he finally gets picked up.
His stats are eerily similar to the real Tim Tebow. Both play in the number 15. Both left handed and both born in Makati, Phillipines.
Both went to the University of Flo Rida where the Gators play and the only real difference I am between them is I have gone max height and max weight with him since a few people told me that was a great idea.
That is about it for him right now. I put most of my free points into speed since apparently speed is a huge deal. I cannot remember who but someone mentioned a 79 speed glitch that I might end up doing?
I really just hope to enjoy this league and no find it too grindy for me. I know with my friends help I will get to maximum build in minor league but we will see what happens in the far, far future. This is a bit slower than the Super Casual Football Sim League I know but I am not against maybe position switching when I move up to the major leagues of International Sim Football League to a less intense Total Points Earned position. That way I can help whatever team and just nail it. I hope to be a pretty strong player for whoever I end up playing for.
Great now that you know who I am, let’s get to the real fun stuff shall we? This is the start of Tom Teboat’s journey. His journey to become the greatest baseball star of all time (or so he thinks)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is 6 AM, it’s sunny. The setting is Providence, Rhode Island and we follow a small camera crew who are setting up their equipment in some sort of urban home. As our camera pans over to our presenter from Development Simulation Football League Zaki Castillo.
Zaki Castillo: Hey there you beautiful people. THIS is Zaki Castillo, former Grass Roots Soccer League player, former General Manager of Warsaw and your very special host during this awesome adventure we’re about to unfold in. DSFL TV is proud to announce that we are in fact shooting our first ever documentary on one of the most promising rookies out there in this league. Rookie Tight End Tom Teboat. This isn’t his actual home so I do not know what’s in store for us here and why he called us over here so let’s go inside and find out shall we?
As we walk inside with Zaki we see a solid gold all around the room. Medals, trophies, picture frames you name it. We finally see a smiling man with a baseball cap walk into the room with a trophy in hand. He sits down and looks directly at the camera.
Zaki Castillo:Why don’t you introduce yourself sir?
Unknown: My name is Tom Teboat and I have 4 professions. Football star, baseball player, rapper and superhero. Can you guess which ones it is?
Before Castillo answers he’s interrupted by Tom Teboat
Tom Teboat: OF COURSE YOU KNOW MAN. Obviously superhero by night and baseball superstar by day. I’m also a philanthropist as I donate to the “ Be a Dear and Donate a Brassiere” charity every year around christmas time. I know I know, 5 dollars is a lot of money but they need all the help they can get. This right here? *points to trophy in hand* This is my all star medal, well it’s technically not mine but it will be. In fact none of this is mine. We are in my favorite player’s house. Honestly a true hero and and my personal idol.Jose 43 Pitcher for the Boston Crabs
Zaki Castillo: They’re not from Bost-
Tom Teboat: Pfft of course they are, where else would they be from? It makes perfect sense, like the wrestling move right? I think I know a little bit more than you so called experts. You guys think you know it all when the reality is you’re not out there swinging those bats, catching those balls or throwing them. So why don’t you just shut up, make me look pretty and ask the damn questions I wrote down for you.
Zak Castillo: Sorry sir but I don’t think you get to choose what questions we ask you? I’m a real reporter now and I’d like to stick true to the facts. Now if we could all just-
Tom Teboat: Turn the camera off. NOW *Camera is panned down* Who in the blue hell do you think is funding this project you little snake? It’s certainly not the Pro Baseball Experience!.This is my production and what I say goes. So you either ask those questions and make me look good to all the other baseball teams out there or I will fire you right now.
Zaki Castillo: I’m sorry sir, I will do as told. I really need this job and I’m running out of options sir please don’t fire me
Tom Teboat gets up and walks up to Zaki.He lays his hand on Zaki’s shoulder and signals the camera to be turned on again
Tom Teboat: It’s okay man, listen I’m a nice and humble guy and despite you screwing up I’m gonna give you one more chance here to make things right okay? Now let’s let bygones be bygones and get back to that interview
Tom Teboat now comfortably sits back down on Jose 43’s chair
Zaki Castillo: Thank you sir for this opportunity, you really are a real standup guy Mr Teboat sir. Now Mr Teboat, can we get some insight in to why we’re in a baseball player’s house?
Tom Teboat: First of all, please it’s Tom. Second of all, what do you mean? Ever since I was just a little boy I always dreamed of playing Baseball and well what can I say? Jose 43 is the player I look up to the most. I’m a rookie and I should be following the greats like himself. I aspire to be as great as him one day I mean look at this place. It SMELLS like glory. I came her specifically for this little trophy right here. I’m not saying I’m stealing it but I’m taking it as a small reminder to myself of who I want to be by the end of my career. Now I’m sorry to cut this interview short but it’s nearly 7 am and Mr 43 is nearly awake so we actually need to get a move on. Come on everyone out, quick let’s go!
Tom Teboat gets up from his chair still with trophy in hand, opens a window and jumps out of it. Meanwhile a perplexed and shocked Zaki Castillo gets up walks through the open door to go outside
We transition to black and cut to commercial break. When we do come back we see Tom Teboat in a dark room sleeping in his king sized bed all alone. No sound being heard until an alarm clock at exactly 8 am turns on to which shirtless Tom Teboat the psychopath that he is, doesn’t hit snooze and gets right up
Tom Teboat: Oh hey haha! Nearly missed you there guys. This is international baseball mega super duper star Tom Teboat, well not yet but I will be someday haha *finger gun points* Anyways this right here is my crib and I am going to personally give you guys a behind the scenes look at what a normal day in the life of a Teboat is so you can get to know me better. Now shall we begin? Let’s go!
Tom Teboat walks out of the room and goes straight to the kitchen for some breakfast. He’ll be making bacon and eggs today. As he cooks a burnt meal he starts talking to us
Tom Teboat: You guys may not know this but I am on a very strict Keto diet. Now what does that mean? I don’t know man, I just thought it sounded cool and googled recipes.
So I like to start my day with some bacon and eggs usually. I like to hit the gym afterwards and do my workout routine as well, so we’re just gonna cut ahead to that cause I doubt you guys just wanna see me eat right? I’ll see you there
We cut to a small montage of Tom Teboat walking in the gym, he starts to greet people and ask them about family as if they were friends. The truth is, Tom doesn’t have any friends at this gym. In fact all he does is walk inside, go to the mirror, take a selfie and leave. As we see Tom walk out the camera man approaches him
Tom Teboat: Whoof guys that was a great workout there wasn’t it? It was great and I got to talk to all my friends, catch up ya know. Friends do that right? Anyways-
Camera man: Wait Tom, how did you get so buff and jacked if you don’t work out?
Tom Teboat: What do you mean? That was my workout, you filmed it all right? You didn’t see me over at the mirror there? Come on man keep up *pats shoulder*
We transition over to a baseball field where we see Tom Teboat over at the sky blue bleachers. It’s once again still sunny but this time, it’s around 10 am
Tom Teboat: Ah, would you look at that man. It’s a great day out there for some baseball. I’m out here today to get some practice pitches out there. We’re just going to sit it out and enjoy the view for a second here though. We’ll be waiting for a friend to join us. Man oh man though, I can see it already though. Tom Teboat perfect game in the world series? That’s the dream man. Someday that’ll be me!
Tom Teboat closes his eyes and smiles as he imagines himself in the scenario he just put himself in
An Anime outro starts playing
*Post credits scene, a shadowy figure walks towards the bleachers with baseball gear in hand. We don’t get to see who it is because we have to tune in next week though*
Conclusion
So this is basically the start of my journey in the International Simulation Football League. Since this was mainly me setting up,it wasn’t as funny as future media writeups will be since I’m merely introducing Mr Teboat. But I hope this will be as fun as I have heard it will be and I get to know more cool people in this league.
