*3 Round S25 ISFL Mock Draft

Round 1, Pick 1: Berlin Fire Salamanders BER  : Guy Fields, LB: Guy Fields will be the first pick in the draft and the first pick in Fire Salamander history. One of the most important things for expansion teams to do is to develop an active and lively locker room. By doing this, players will be more likely to re-sign and free agents will be more attracted to Berlin. Selecting Guy Fields will add a lot to Berlin’s locker room. Not only is Fields a great locker room presence, but he also is very adept with the sim. Expect Fields to be a big boost to Berlin’s new sim room and new locker room. 

Possible Alternative Pick: Swantavius Jones, CB: Swanty won the award for the most dedicated DSFL member. Last year, Juan Domine went 1OA after winning the same award. While I still think Guy Fields would be a great selection at 1OA for the reasons mentioned above, both players are excellent users deserving of going 1OA.

Round 1, Pick 2: Yellowknife Wraiths YKW (From NYS) : Peter Patterson, CB: The first CB comes off the board at 2nd overall. User slate has recently come out with what he calls the “Sim-Batcher”. This is a program that helps with large scale sim testing. Making a program like this as a new user is beyond impressive and shows how much value slate adds as a user.

YKW has a huge need at CB with the retirement of CB Johnny Snuggles. Aside from clearly showing a high aptitude for sim testing, slate is one of the highest CB TPE earners. Slate has also written some interesting media, such as an article examining DSFL player development. He also provided the full ISFL draft order, which I used for this mock. Thanks, @slate!

Round 1, Pick 3: Philadelphia Liberty PHI : Goat Tank, DT: GOAT TANK! The Liberty pickup the greatest of all tanks with the 3rd overall pick. Goat Tank possesses a great amount of knowledge about the sim and will share his insight with Philadelphia. Goat Tank also fills a huge need for Philadelphia at DT because the two DTs on their roster are inactive.

In my DSFL mock draft last season, I noted Goat Tank’s incredible and varied tweets. Goat Tank has recently stepped up his twitter game through innovative techniques. The Liberty will recognize Goat Tank’s innovation off the field and will hope he can find ways to innovate on it as well.

Round 1, Pick 4: San Jose Sabercats SJS (From BAL) : James Gath, CB: The Sabercats make Gath their first draft choice in team history. Gath has a high TPE, is a great locker presence, and solidifies San Jose’s cornerback room. All these factors make Gath a highly sought-after player like many others in this draft. However, Gath separates himself from other players through his work with the sim. In fact, the team that drafts him will have exclusive access to Gath's program for sim testing analysis for the duration of his rookie contract. User Beefstu has put a ton of work into this, and I can only imagine he will do a ton more work with the sim as times goes on. Beefstu is also an excellent photographer, which is worth mentioning, even if its effect on his draft stock is quite small.

Round 1, Pick 5: Colorado Yeti COL (From YKW via NYS) : Albert Ruschman, DE: After trading up to get this pick, the Yeti select Albert Ruschman. As one of the top TPE earners in his class, Ruschman will add a lot to a Yeti’s defensive line that needs more players. Considering the user, this pick couldn’t be a better fit. Ruschman went 5th overall to the Royals in the DSFL draft. The GM at the time, Sylpherni, no doubt played a huge role in this selection. Now, Sylphreni is one of the GMs for the Yeti. Sylphreni knows what a player like Ruschman brings to a team. Because of this connection, Ruschman goes 5th overall in back-to-back drafts.

Round 1, Pick 6: Baltimore Hawks BAL (From AUS) : Felix Archstone, OL: Archstone goes 6th overall and is the first OL off the board. User Glims is already a DSFL GM in his first season. For Glims to become the GM of the Coyotes after only being in the league for a few months reflects how much of a great user he is. Also, one of the Baltimore GMs is the former KCC GM that entrusted Glims to take over when he left. This makes drafting Glims here an obvious choice.

Round 1, Pick 7: Honolulu Hahalua HON : Tex Wrecks, DE: Hahalua get the top TPE player in this class at 7th overall. Wrecks fills a huge need for Hahalua as they only have two defensive linemen. Off the field, Wrecks’ user 209tacos makes some excellent graphics and will be a great addition to Hahalua’s locker room.

Round 1, Pick 8: Arizona Outlaws ARI : Tayshawn Crunk, S: Arizona gets who they believe to be the best safety at 8th overall. Crunk has written a ton of media, has created his own podcast, and will be an incredible addition to Arizona. Part of the reason I have Crunk going to Arizona specifically is because of who they made their co-gm. User Z-Whiz was recently announced as the co-gm of Arizona. Z-Whiz played for the Royals last season with Crunk and will want to bring a familiar face to Arizona. This is a great first selection for Arizona!

I originally had Arizona taking a running back here. However, it turns out that Z-Whiz positioned swapped to RB after the team lost Joseph Petrongolo. So, Arizona goes safety instead.

Round 1, Pick 9: Chicago Butchers CHI : Swantavius Jones, CB: Chicago gets Swanatavius at 9th overall in what may be the biggest steal of the draft. Swantavius is at a high TPE and has written some incredible media, such as his DSFL Team of the Week series. Recently, Swantavius has propelled himself into the 1OA conversation. With all that Swantavius adds as a user, this is hardly surprising. In the small chance that he falls to 9th overall, Chicago won’t hesitate at all to make Swantavius their first pick in the S25 draft.

UPDATE: Now I see that Swantavius has won the award for the most dedicated member in the DSFL. There’s no way he falls this low. I am incredibly lazy and have already written explanations for other players going earlier in the draft. Sorry Swanty, I guess you have to settle for going 9 in this mock. Hopefully going much earlier in the actual draft will be a good consolation prize to this crushing blow.

Round 1, Pick 10: New Orleans Second Line NOLA : Medicinal Toblerone, OL: The former NOLA GM gets drafted by the Second Line. Toblerone has all their TPE banked up and should be willing to switch to any position for NOLA. This is an incredible pick for NOLA as they get someone they know will fit in their locker room, has a high amount of TPE, and can fill any need on their team.

Round 1, Pick 11: Orange County Otters OCO : Dan Foster, CB: The Otters pickup an incredible user and player in Foster at pick 11. While the Otters did lose CB Lord Beerus to expansion, NYC intends to trade him back for picks. As such, Foster may be a candidate to position swap. He already did so when joining Portland and could do so again. As a user, Foster is very active across the league and has been writing up the game balls for Portland. All this factors into Orange County drafting him with their first pick in the S25 ISFL draft.

Round 1, Pick 12: Sarasota Sailfish SAR : Dijbutee McJimmerson, TE: After losing Clark Boyd to expansion, Sarasota drafts a TE with their first pick. McJimmerson is incredibly talented at making gifs about ISFL and DSFL. Having someone like this on your team is a huge positive, and McJimmerson will add a lot to Sarasota’s locker room. 

Round 1, Pick 13: New York Silverbacks NYS (From COL) : Raylan Crowder, DE: Crowder is one of the highest TPE players in the draft. This is partially due to the high amount of recruitment he has done. Not only has he recruited quite a few to the league, but these same people have been super active. He has also written some excellent media, such as his ISFL S25 prospect mock draft. With this being the first pick in Silverback history, Crowder is an excellent choice and will be a staple on their defensive line for years to come.

Round 1, Pick 14: San Jose Sabercats SJS : Killian Chambers, WR: After trading 2OA pick Joshua Campbell to the Hawks, the Sabercats have a need at WR. While this pick may be a bit of a reach this early, Chambers is still of the highest TPE earners at WR in his class. Chambers has also written an S25 ISFL mock draft. Expect Chambers to eventually replace aging vet Nate Swift at WR once he retires.

  

Round 2

Round 2, Pick 1 (15): YKW (From NYS) : Hank Winchester, LB: Winchester aka timeconsumer is one of the highest TPE earners in this class. Timeconsumer’s last player was the franchise QB for the YKW. YKW will be ecstatic to bring Timeconsumer back to the team.

Round 2, Pick 2 (16): ARI (From BER) : NationalSimulation FootballLeague, S: The Outlaws select NSFL in the 2nd round of the ISFL. They have a need at safety, and this fills it!

Round 2, Pick 3 (17): PHI : Rich Triplet, CB: The Liberty draft Triplet with their 2nd pick to help rebuild their defense. User Kotasa has written a good amount of high-quality media and will be a great addition to Philadelphia’s locker room.

Round 2, Pick 4 (18): BAL : Jameson Vermillion, RB: The Hawks go running back with the 18th overall pick. User Vainknight is very active and is one of the top earning RBs of this class.

This pick makes Vermillion the first RB drafted in the S24 DSFL draft and the S25 ISFL draft.

Round 2, Pick 5 (19): NYS (From YKW) : Dukburg QuakStak, CB, GM: This is the first of quite a few GM picks. By rule, teams must select their GMs with their first 2nd round pick.  QuakStak has a very high TPE, and would likely go in the first round if they were not a GM.

Round 2, Pick 6 (20): AUS : Jackie Daytona, QB, GM: With their first pick in the ISFL draft, the Austin Copperhands select…their GM!  While Austin has to select Daytona here, this is still an excellent pick. Austin needs an eventual successor to QB Easton Cole and Daytona fills this role perfectly. As the top QB in TPE in his class, expect Daytona to be Austin’s starting QB in a season or two.

Round 2, Pick 7 (21): HON : Davriel Lavigne, CB, GM: The first overall pick in the DSFL draft goes at 21 overall. What a steal! Seriously, how did this happen?

Oh wait, it’s that pesky GM rule again. No other team is allowed to select Lavigne because their user, Raven, is the GM for Honolulu. Because of this, Honolulu gets one of the best players in the draft at pick 21.

Round 2, Pick 8 (22): ARI : Vance Slattery, DT: Outlaws select Slattery, making him the 2nd DT selected in the draft. Slattery has been writing an insane amount of media. The ISFL Draft Prospect Positional Breakdowns he’s been doing have been great reads. The Outlaws get a 1st round talent in the 2nd round.

Round 2, Pick 9 (23): HON (From CHI) : Chuck Roth, OL: Honolulu adds an OL to the roster. As the 2nd OL selected in the draft, Roth will help protect QB Luke Skywalker and should be called up immediately to the ISFL.

Round 2, Pick 10 (24): NOLA : Jimi DeSoto, LB: New Orleans drafts an eventual replacement for the aging Quenton Bode. Jimi DeSoto is the perfect replacement for Bode whenever they decide to retire.

Round 2, Pick 11 (25): OCO : Zach Crossley, WR: The Otters get their WR of the future by selecting Crossley. Crossley has written some great media, such as his Crossley Chronicles series. This is a great choice as Crossley is arguably the best all-around WR in this class.

Round 2, Pick 12 (26): SAR : Richard Leaking, LB: Sarasota has a well-built roster with very few holes. Arguably their biggest hole is TE, and they already addressed the position with their first-round selection. As such, they draft the player they believe will fit best into their locker room. Leaking has a high TPE and has written some quality media. This is a great pick and makes Leaking the 3rd LB selected in this draft.

Round 2, Pick 13 (27): COL : Dave Batista, TE, GM: The final GM pick of the draft. Colorado gets the highest TPE TE in the draft at 27th overall.

Round 2, Pick 14 (28): SJS : Cleg Manclaw, TE: San Jose picks up another offensive player with their 2nd round pick. User Cyno has written some thought-provoking media, such as his article pitting each DSFL team's mascot against each other. With San Jose losing a TE to expansion, Manclaw is an excellent addition to the team.

Round 3

Round 3, Pick 1 (29): BER : Matt Peterson, QB: By far the biggest need for Berlin entering this draft is QB. Unless they can convince someone to position swap, Peterson is the only active, draftable QB in this draft. While Peterson may not be a max earner, he still brings a lot as a user. This is shown by his creation of the “ISFL Around the League” podcast. This clearly shows that he is invested in the league and should stay active. Berlin will hope that they can develop Peterson into their franchise QB.

Round 3, Pick 2 (30): YKW (From NYS) : Mark Walker, WR: The Wraiths address the loss of Susan Cash Jr. by selecting Walker. Walker has been active in writing media and could be immediately called up to the ISFL.

Round 3, Pick 3 (31): PHI : Mike Rotchburns, RB: With both their RBs in regression, Philadelphia drafts their RB of the future. Rotchburns is a power back and will be an effective replacement for either of the RBs in regression.

Round 3, Pick 4 (32): CHI (From BAL) : Sam Roes, DE: With one of their DEs inactive, Chicago addresses the position by drafting Roes. Roes has some hilarious tweets and is a great addition to Chicago.

Round 3, Pick 5 (33): YKW : Damian Blackfyre, S: Blackfyre has made some incredible graphics (including the one I use for my player signature), is very active is discord, and has written some great media. The only reason he falls to the third round is because he was a late addition to the S25 class and has not had the opportunity to earn as much TPE as other players. Considering this, getting Blackfyre here is at a great value for Yellowknife.

Round 3, Pick 6 (34): PHI (From AUS) : Gary Goodman, LB: Philadelphia continues to revamp their defense by selecting Goodman. Goodman has been posting some of the best tweets in the game recently, including this gem. This is an excellent selection for Philadelphia this late in the draft.

Round 3, Pick 7 (35): CHI (From HON) : L’Gazzy Burfict, LB: Despite not having a pressing need at LB, Chicago chooses Burfict. Burfict is a high TPE earner and has made multiple podcast episodes with Tayshawn Crunk.

Round 3, Pick 8 (36): ARI : Harley Fank, WR: With WR Gunner Thorbjornsson switching to RB, Arizona needs another WR. While they did draft Taro Raimon last year, they still need another WR for whenever S17 WR Saba Donut retires. As the highest TPE WR in this class, Fank is an incredible selection here.

Round 3, Pick 9 (37): COL (From CHI) : Donald McBobby, LB: Colorado get the best player available. McBobby, who has a very high TPE and could see action right away in the ISFL.

Round 3, Pick 10 (38): HON (From NOLA) : Bob Roberts, S: Bob Roberts is an excellent player both on and off the field. His user runs the Dallas Birddogs’ twitter account and does a great job at it too. With one of Honolulu’s safeties being inactive, Roberts fills a huge need and could be their replacement after another season in the DSFL.

Round 3, Pick 11 (39): OCO : Rusty Rucker, LB: The Otters go for the best player available and select Rusty Rucker. User LancedJack is active on the forums and has done a great job working with the wiki team.

Round 3, Pick 12 (40): OCO (From SAR) : Jake Fencik, K: With an S15 kicker on the roster, the Otters draft their future replacement. With many teams still needing a kicker, expect the Otters to possibly trade either their current kicker or Fencik for picks.

Round 3, Pick 13 (41): NYS (From COL) : Darren Pama, RB: The Silverbacks add a 2nd RB to their roster. Pama has written some amazing media, and I was happy to see him bring back his prospect rankings for the S26 class. Pama should be called up to New York right away and will make an immediate impact on the team.

Round 3, Pick 14 (42): SJS   : Wasrabi Gleel, LB: San Jose goes defense with their third-round pick. User Crodyman has written some great media and has also produced multiple podcast episodes. This is an absolute steal this late in the draft as Gleel has first-round talent.

With this pick, San Jose has only drafted Minnesota players through rounds of the draft. This include two first-round selections

There we have it, the first three rounds of the S25 ISFL draft. This is a great class and with me only mock drafting through 3 rounds, there’re plenty of great players not listed. The draft is a crapshoot and I know this mock will probably look silly come draft night (which is tonight). Good luck to everyone in the draft!
