looking at different teams and what there future might entail
OLD DOGS
QB's who are going into regression and whose teams are looking to replace
Colorado Yeti
Wolfie McDummy(S16 891 TPE)
Mattathias Caliban (S24 575 TPE)
Colorado are probably in the best position for the transfer of power, with McDummy likely retiring at the end of the season, and Caliban spending two seasons playing with Dallas. Caliban has been earning at a high level (2nd in the S24 class), and is hoping to seamlessly take over from the Legendary McDummy, and hopes to take over the high flying Yeti
Austin Copperheads
Easton Cole (S16 837 TPE)
Jackie Daytona (S25 336 TPE)
While Cole has less TPE than Wolfie, it is expected that Cole plays at least one more season before Daytona takes the reigns as he is signed til after S26 and Daytona is a year younger than Caliban. Daytona is is the leader among QBs in the S25 class by about 100 TPE, and due to the fact that he is also the Austin GM, shows that the QB Position in Austin should be set for a long time
Sarasota Sailfish
Dexter Banks II ( S17 899 TPE
Mike Boss Jr (S24 392 TPE)
This is the first QB position that might be under a bit of pressure, Banks is one of the older QB's who is out of contract in S26, meaning that he is likely retiring sooner rather than later. Mike Boss Jr. is another S24 player who has been developing in the DSFL, however there is one issue that might be concerning to the Sailfish War Room, the fact that Boss Jr. is over 100 TPE less than the next S24 QB. The S26 class of QB's have a few names that have been earning at a high rate so it would not be surprising to me if they picked someone to play instead of Boss
Arizona Outlaws
Current QB:
Jay Cue (S18 1258 TPE)
Other QB:
Charlemagne Cortez ( S24 527 TPE)
There is only one issue with the Outlaws situation, and its not a bad problem to have. Cue is at the Top of his game, yet has not yet made the playoffs, so I imagine that he wont not to retire until he has some post season success. However Cortez is only under contract for only one more year so there is a chances he leaves if he thinks that his future is being put on halt. Arizona will be forced to make a choice but this could all be fixed if Arizona do well this year and help give Cue some closure to his career
Philadelphia Liberty
Brock Phoenix (S19 1,187 TPE)
If one team will take a QB in this draft, its Philly, Phoenix is entering regression and they have 0 QB's in line for the Philly Throne. The
question is not if they take a QB, but who?
Get Used to Them
QB's who are not going anywhere anytime soon unless something drastic happens
Baltimore Hawks
Chika Fujiwara (S21 980 TPE)
The next oldest QB is two seasons younger than Phoenix, so it is unlikely they are looking for a Replacement this season, unless they are willing to have someone develop in the DSFL for a long time, as Chika has 2 more season before regression and is already the 2nd highest player in TPE with the only people ahead of Chika being about 2-3 seasons older and regressing, meaning you can expect Chika to have the title of highest TPE earner in the DSFL
Chicago Butchers
George O’Donnell (S21 917 TPE)
Same year as Chika, also a high earner, however Chika has a significant advantage over George. But Chicago fans are probably ok with this as O'Donnell is still one of the highest earning QB's in his prime and like chika still has a few seasons before regression
Yellowknife Wraiths
Colby Jack (S22 926 TPE)
Colby Jack is the highest earner in his QB class by 40 TPE, and has outpaced George O'Donnell who is a season older. Yellowknife should feel safe in the hands of Jack who is set to hold on to the Wraith QB job for years to come (Also doesnt hurt that Jack is the GM in Yellowknife)
New Orleans Second Line
Ben Slothlisberger (S22 881 TPE)
Slothlisberger has been playing very well despite his teams current record, and is hoping his team can match his level of play and start making a push for the playoffs. Slothlisberger is 2nd in his class and has a clause in his contract preventing NOLA from having other QB's from playing in the next two years, meaning NOLA is probably the least likley team to take a QB in this draft
Berlin Fire Salamanders
Nick Kaepercolin (S22 871 TPE)
Another S22 starter, Kaepercolin converted from WR to QB, and was expected to have some troubles in his first season. This is clearly the case as he is ranked very low on passing touchdowns, passer rating and ranks dead last in passing yards. However expect Kaepercolin to make large leaps next season as he aims to get more used to his role (Another GM QB means they better hope he steps his play up)
San Jose SaberCats
Monterey "Monty" Jack (S22 852 TPE)
While Monty has won a Ultimus, its clear that his twin brother has probably won the TPE race as he leads him by 80 TPE. But he is another guy who is clearly holding on to his QB role for many years to come. But like the case with his brother, I would be surprised if a QB was selected by this team due to the fact that Monty is also the GM
Orange County Otters
Suleiman Ramza (S22 826 TPE)
A man who has waited a very long time to get a shot as the starting QB in the ISFL, Ramza is finally having his rookie season, and is playing very well with the Otters being 5-0 since he took the starting gig.
Honolulu Hahalua
Luke Skywalker (S22 787 TPE)
Matt Peterson (S25 230 TPE)
Another QB from this S22 class, Skywalker is unfortunately the last in TPE, with Ramza leading him by over 30 TPE, Skywalker seems to be playing at a good level however the signing of Matt Peterson seems to feel like a bit of a warning shot at Skywalker, that he could be replaced at any time
New York Silverbacks
Sam Howitzer (S24 588)
Howitzer is not only the best QB in his class, but is neck and neck with Zoe Watts for best TPE earner in his class. While he has alot less TPE than all of the Current starters, if he continues developing like he is, expect him to be dominate the league in a few seasons.
Who I think will take a QB in this draft
Philly = 90% chance
Only way Philly does not pick one this year is if they think they can get one next year
Sarasota = 60% chance
This years QB's are earning faster than Boss Jr. and I could see them snagging one if they have the chance
Baltimore= 40% chance
Chika is the next oldest QB and with 3 QB's on the board i could see them grabbing Emi Rune as she is someone who is into Anime so she would fit the culture.
Chicago = 20%
Could also take a QB of the future later in the draft, but assuming its Rune who goes 3rd (she created later than the other two who are both all earning at a high level) I feel Baltimore is more likely to pull the trigger
Yellowknife Wraiths = 15%
This is my Wildcard pick, Yellowknife is probably happy with the return they got from Sam Howitzer, so I would not be surprised to see them playing the odds at a Expansion happening within the next 3 years
