What's The Deal With Defensive Tackle And Sacks?

So I made a Defensive Tackle yesterday because when I look at the Sack Records, I saw DTs on top of both the ISFL and DSFL record books. The weird thing about that is that in real life it's Defensive Ends that are on top of all the record books for sacks, so why have DTs scored more sacks in this league historically then DEs?

An example of this is that of the top ten sack leaders in ISFL histroy, there are four DTs but only two DEs. IF you also look at the most sacks in a season, There are five DTs to only three DEs.

It's the same in the DSFL, where there's five DTs in the top ten career sacks but only one DE.

The TLDR of this is that the original developers of our sim knew nothing about football really when they were making the game. As a result, DTs get the kind of stats that would be typical of DEs and DEs get more DT oriented stats (TFLs). Stuff like this is why we're moving sims to an updated version. Though from what I understand of the new version and what I've seen, defensive tackles are unfortunately in a *really* bad spot statistically. Perhaps the guys we have setting up the new archetypes can find a way to fix that though!

It has to do with offensive linemen weight. I believe at some point the league changes the offensive linemen bots to be heavier because that is a major factor in if you get blocked or not in the sim (actually the biggest factor of all is weight). Once that change happened, DT quit feeding as much.

Some of those sack records were from many seasons ago when there were different rules surrounding blitz ratios, differences in the playbook, and differences in OL rules. So they may not all be comparable to today. Also, there are multiple positions in the sim that have some weird statistical anomalies. Something we have accepted as is, but maybe the move to the new sim will change these things.
