Week #8&9 Broadcast
Agent Tesla: Hello again! I hope the days are treating you all well! My dear friend Sim Rep and I are here to bring you the highlights of a DSFL doubleheader again and are once again going to just dive right into it so as not to strain your patience. So Sim Rep please tell us about game one!
Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at Norfolk Seawolves. Seawolves won 21 to 16. Offensive player of the game is running back Mr. Forty-Two of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 30 rushing attempts for 134 yards, an average run of 4.5 yards, a long of 13 yards, 1 touchdown, 2 receptions for 9 yards, an average reception of 4.5 yards, and a long of 5 yards.
Agent Tesla: It pays to have a good running back and Mr. Forty-Two proved their value again today! They got their start on the opening drive with their long reception of 5 yards on the first and ten to start it, and quickly followed it up by getting the first down with a 5 yard run on second and five. He also had his longest run of the day on the drive as they converted a second and two with a 13 yard run. Also converted a second and one with a 12 yard run just to hammer it home. Second quarter saw them carry it across themself as they had a 9 yard run on first and ten, a 1 yard run on second and one, and then got into the end zone on first and goal with a 2 yard touchdown run. Now defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Tackling Panda (BOT) of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 9 tackles and 1 sack.
Agent Tesla: No bots! Instead we take off our hat for defensive end Sam Roes of the Norfolk Seawolves for their 5 tackles, 2 for loss, and 1 sack performance. Starting early in the first quarter by making a tackle after just 3 yards on a first and ten, and following it up with a tackle at the line of scrimmage on second and seven to help lead to a three and out. Roes also flew in towards the end of the second quarter with a 9 yard sack on first and ten to derail that drive.
Game two please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 20 to 3. Offensive player of the game is fullback King Tutankhamun of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 13 rushing attempts for 83 yards, an average run of 6.4 yards, a long of 17 yards, 1 touchdown, 3 receptions for 21 yards, an average reception of 7 yards, and a long of 14 yards.
Agent Tesla: Tutankhamun took some time to get started, but once they did they had one of the best drives I have ever witnessed. Second and ten early in the drive and Tutankhamun converted with a 12 yard run. Just a few plays later on a second and nine Tutankhamun did it again with their long 17 yard run. Then just a bit later on second and nine Tutankhamun caught their longest pass of the day for 14 yards. Now for those keeping track at home that is forty-three yards on three plays, and that drive would end in a 5 yard touchdown run by Tutankhamun on first and goal to make for four highlights on one drive. Now please take us over to the defensive side Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker A.J. Lucas of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 8 tackles and 1 sack.
Agent Tesla: Lucas also took a bit to get started as their first highlight came in the third quarter with a quick stop on second and seven that would contribute to a three and out. Lucas opened up the next drive with a stop short of the line to gain on first and ten. Then on third and four sealed the three and out with a 7 yard sack.
We are onto game three if you would please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Tijuana Luchadores at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Luchadores won 20 to 7. Offensive player of the game is running back Mike Rotchburns of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 27 rushing attempts for 128 yards, an average run of 4.7 yards, a long of 15 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: First and eleven from their own one yard line and Rotchburns made his presence known with a 15 yard run. Rotchburns would tie their long run of the day in the second quarter with another 15 yard run on a first and ten. Opening drive of the third quarter saw Rotchburns make magic again with a 6 yard touchdown run on first and goal. Fourth quarter Rotchburns maintained their steady production with a 9 yard run to convert a third and four, and a 10 yard run to convert a first and ten. Next is defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Vincent Jones of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 7 tackles, 1 sack, 4 passes defended, and 1 interception.
Agent Tesla: Second quarter saw Jones make their first big play of the night as they intercepted a pass on third and fourteen, although it cost them 4 yards before they could comfortably complete the catch. Third quarter they helped contribute to a three and out with a 6 yard sack on second and seven to force a third and long. Arguably their biggest play of the day though came in the fourth quarter where just after the two minute warning they broke up a pass on fourth and ten to get a turnover on downs.
Last game of week eight please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at London Royals. Royals won 17 to 14. Offensive player of the game is running back Cobra Kai of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 20 rushing attempts for 111 yards, an average run of 5.6 yards, and a long of 13 yards.
Agent Tesla: Kai's longest run of the day came early as on the first second down of the game Kai ran it 13 yards when they only needed ten for the first down. Later in that same drive Kai would run it 9 yards on first and ten, and then follow it up with another 9 yard run on second and one. They did it again in the third quarter with a 7 yard run on first and ten, and then a 7 yard run on the following second and three play. Once more to defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker L'Gazzy Burfict of the London Royals with a stat line of 13 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 2 passes defended.
Agent Tesla: Second quarter saw two plays by Burfict on the same drive as they knocked the ball loose for a fumble on a second and six that was recovered by the offense, but then managed to bail the defense out by breaking up a pass on third and four to have the drive end in a punt. Something Burfict was quite good at as they broke up another pass towards the end of the second quarter on a second and ten to help force another punt. Third quarter Burfict opened up a drive with a 6 yard sack on first and ten. Fourth quarter saw them pull out all the stops starting with a tackle short of the line to gain on third and four to force a punt, and ending in a 7 yard sack on first and ten on a drive that would end in a turnover on downs that would ultimately close out the game.
We are onto week nine please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Portland Pythons at Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. Buccaneers won 20 to 18. Offensive player of the game is wide receiver Rocky Jackman of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 6 receptions for 106 yards, an average reception of 17.7 yards, and a long of 48 yards.
Agent Tesla: Credit to Rocky Jackman for being a rare wide receiver to win offensive player of the game! Jackman contributed early with an 11 yard reception on a second and three in the second quarter. Later in that same drive they would add a 17 yard reception on a third and ten to give their team a scoring opportunity. The play that won them this recognition though has to be their 48 yard reception on third and eight in the third quarter. Although again they had another good play on that same drive as they converted a third and two into a first and goal with a 12 yard reception. Defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is defensive tackle Chuck Roth of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 safety.
Agent Tesla: Second quarter on a first and ten Roth made their name known with a 7 yard sack that dropped the quarterback in the end zone for a safety! They also had a tackle after allowing just one yard on a second and ten towards the end of the fourth quarter. However a safety is a superb stat to have and I can respect the sim giving them the game ball here!
Week nine game two please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at Kansas City Coyotes. Coyotes won 23 to 3. Offensive player of the game is fullback King Tutankhamun of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 20 rushing attempts for 110 yards, an average run of 5.5 yards, a long of 17 yards, 2 touchdowns, 3 receptions for 20 yards, an average reception of 6.7 yards, and a long of 7 yards.
Agent Tesla: King is a double award winner with a two touchdown performance and so let us dive into it! Tutankhamun's first highlight came towards the end of the first quarter with a 3 yard touchdown run on first and goal for the first touchdown of the day. Early in the second quarter Tutankhamun ran it 10 yards to open a drive on first and ten. A drive that would end in a 2 yard touchdown run by Tutankhamun. Second quarter was also where they had their longest run of the day with a 17 yard run on first and ten towards the end of the half. Just before the end of the half they also added a 13 yard run on a first and ten. Next is defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Thomas Rose of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 8 tackles and 1 sack.
Agent Tesla: First quarter on a third and twenty Rose was able to force a punt by making the tackle after just a 3 yard gain. They had another early stop in the second after allowing just 2 yards on a second and nine to help force a three and out. Their big name play of the day though came on third and nine towards the end of the second quarter where they got a 6 yard sack to force a punt. Third quarter on third and twelve Rose gave up just 4 yards before making the tackle to force a three and out.
Game three of week nine please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game London Royals at Tijuana Luchadores. Royals won 30 to 9. Offensive player of the game is wide receiver Tugg Speedman of the London Royals with a stat line of 7 receptions for 102 yards, an average reception of 14.6 yards, a long of 32 yards, and 1 touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Maybe not as rare as I thought, but still impressive to see a wide receiver win it at this level. Speedman caught their longest pass of the day early with a 32 yard reception on a first and ten in the first quarter. Third quarter is where they really made their mark though starting with a 12 yard reception to convert a third and ten. They would end that drive with a 7 yard touchdown reception on third and five. They would also add another long reception on third down as they picked up a 20 yard pass on third and eight in the fourth quarter. Please tell us about defense Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Logan Sarrasin of the London Royals with a stat line of 8 tackles, 1 pass defended, and 1 interception touchdown.
Agent Tesla: Well that is a very visibly good stat line. Now the play we all wanted to see make it to the highlight reel came on a second and fifteen in the second quarter where Sarrasin picked off the pass and ran it in for a 3 yard touchdown. They would also contribute to a stop in the fourth quarter with a tackle after just 1 yard gained on a first and ten.
Just one more game for week nine if you would please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Minnesota Grey Ducks at Dallas Birddogs. Birddogs won 23 to 7. Offensive player of the game is running back Cobra Kai of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 27 rushing attempts for 121 yards, an average run of 4.5 yards, a long of 12 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 8 yards.
Agent Tesla: Cobra Kai getting double honors as well and for good reason. Kai's longest run of the day would be their first as they turned a first and ten into a 12 yard run midway through the first quarter. Second quarter they had their lone reception of 8 yards to convert a third and three. Then on second and goal they got what they wanted with a 1 yard touchdown run. Just once more to defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Wasrabi Gleel of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 9 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.
Agent Tesla: I can already tell what one of the highlights is going to be and it should be good! First quarter on second and fifteen Gleel makes a booming tackle that knocks the ball to the turf and is able to fall on it for a return of 0 yards. It was a good play indeed! Gleel would also have a tackle at the line of scrimmage on a second and eight right at the end of the third quarter.
Thanks once again for joining me for these highlights. We hope that it was a positive experience for you and that you have a lovely day!
Week #10 Broadcast
Agent Tesla: Hello and good time appropriate greeting dear readers! Welcome back to highlights with Agent Tesla and Sim Rep who represents the sim. We are here today to bring you highlights from week ten of the DSFL and so please start us off right with game one Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Kansas City Coyotes at Portland Pythons. Pythons won 31 to 13. Offensive player of the game is running back Darren Pama of the Portland Pythons with a stat line of 25 rushing attempts for 126 yards, an average run of 5 yards, a long of 17 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for -1 yard.
Agent Tesla: Pama got this game off to a great start in the first quarter starting with a 6 yard run on a first and ten. What makes it impressive is the drive that followed where they ran it 8 yards on second down, 6 yards on first down, and then 7 yards on second down for 27 yards and two first downs in four plays. Their next big play came in the second quarter where they turned a first and ten opportunity into a 17 yard run. That drive would end in a 5 yard touchdown run by Pama on third and four. Third quarter saw them run it 11 yards on second and three, and then follow it up with a 12 yard run on the first down they earned. Defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker A.J. Lucas of the Kansas City Coyotes with a stat line of 14 tackles and 1 for loss.
Agent Tesla: A steady pace wins the race and Lucas got their start with a stop after just 5 yards on third and ten to force a punt on the opponent's opening possession. Third and nine on the next drive Lucas did it again with a stop short of the line to gain on third and nine that would lead to a field goal attempt. Just one drive later Lucas made the tackle a yard behind the line of scrimmage on first and ten on a drive that would end in a punt.
Onto game two please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Dallas Birddogs at Tijuana Luchadores. Birddogs won 15 to 10. Offensive player of the game is kicker Merry Catmas (BOT) of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 1 for 1 on 20 to 29 yard field goal attempts, 1 for 1 on 30 to 39 yard field goal attempts, 1 for 1 on 40 to 49 yard field goal attempts, 5 punts for 255 yards, an average punt of 51 yards, and a long punt of 61 yards.
Agent Tesla: Even if I love good special teams play we do not honor bots here, and so in their place we will credit running back Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms of the Dallas Birddogs with a stat line of 17 rushing attempts for 79 yards, an average run of 4.6 yards, and a long run of 13 yards. Their first highlight came on the opening drive of the game where they converted a first and ten with a 13 yard run. They kept their efficient performance up through the fourth quarter where they converted a first and ten with a 10 yard run. Also had a 4 yard run to convert a third and two that drive. Onto defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Vincent Jones of the Tijuana Luchadores with a stat line of 11 tackles, 1 for loss, and 1 sack.
Agent Tesla: Now Jones played well throughout, but their highlight is one drive in particular. The drive started towards the end of the second quarter with a first and ten where Jones secured a 6 yard sack. Second and sixteen Jones made a tackle just 1 yard beyond the line of scrimmage. Third and fifteen saw Jones make the stop again after just 3 yards to force a punt on fourth and twelve. A terrific tackling performance on that drive by Jones.
Game three please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Myrtle Beach Buccaneers at Minnesota Grey Ducks. Grey Ducks won 48 to 10. Offensive player of the game is running back Mike Rotchburns of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 31 rushing attempts for 131 yards, an average run of 4.2 yards, a long of 14 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 reception for -2 yards.
Agent Tesla: Whole lot of highlights I am sure as Rotchburns accounted for every single carry for their team this game. True to what they say it took a while for him to pound the defense down, but partway through the second quarter it paid off as Rotchburns had a 10 yard touchdown run on second and goal. Then just before the end of the half Rotchburns put his team into position to score again with a 14 yard run on second and seven that set up a successful field goal attempt. Third quarter Rotchburns had their masterpiece with runs of 8 yards on first and ten, 10 yards on second and two, 6 on first and ten, 2 on second and four, 2 on third and two, 8 on second and two, and finally 3 on first and goal for the touchdown. About halfway through the fourth quarter they would manage another touchdown on a 9 yard run on third and five. Defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is linebacker Alejandro Chainbreak of the Minnesota Grey Ducks with a stat line of 10 tackles, 1 sack, 3 passes defended, and 1 interception.
Agent Tesla: First quarter on second and seven Chainbreaker broke into the backfield for a 6 yard sack that would help lead to a punt. On a third and six in the second quarter Chainbreaker made their best play though as they picked off the pass just shy of the red zone before being tackled for no return.
Please tell us about the last game of week ten now Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Game Norfolk Seawolves at London Royals. Royals won 14 to 3. Offensive player of the game is running back Terry Yaki of the London Royals with a stat line of 20 rushing attempts for 123 yards, an average run of 6.2 yards, a long of 14 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 reception for 11 yards.
Agent Tesla: Yaki's first touch of the game would also be their longest carry as they ran it 14 yards on first and ten in the first quarter. Second quarter saw them make their lone reception early for 11 yards on second and twenty-one. The next drive Yaki tied their long of the day with a 14 yard run on second and ten. Terry kept their performance up through the third quarter where they converted a second and ten with an 11 yard run, and then converted the first and ten with a 13 yard run. They would finish out that drive with a 2 yard touchdown run on first and goal. Once more to defense please Sim Rep!
Sim Rep: Defensive player of the game is free safety Dogwood Maple of the Norfolk Seawolves with a stat line of 4 tackles and 2 sacks.
Agent Tesla: Early in the second quarter at the start of the drive Dogwood wrecked it before it could get going with an 11 yard sack on first and ten. That drive would end in a three and out with ten yards left to go. Maple made another three and out in the fourth quarter with a 6 yard sack on third and five to force the punt themselves.
Thank you for joining us once again! We hope the weekend is nice for you and that you will join us once again for the last doubleheader of the season next week! Looking forward to it!
