Hey people, it's Dale Murphy. And guess what I am here to do? It is time for the next update on the Second Line Luchadore prospects. In week 2 the Lunchadores took on the London Knights, an Ultimi rematch. Both teams have changed a bit, but a rematch nonetheless. The Lunchadores knocked off the Knights by a score of 17-7. As we are looking at two defenders, holding the Knights down to just one touchdown is certainly a job well done by the defense.
Vincent Jones Jr. was good for four tackles and a sack. Not exactly the tackle numbers that Jones Jr. was hoping to put up, but his sack per game that began in the preseason has held true for the first two games of the regular season.
Jonathan Shuffleboard had eight tackles as well as his first sack of the season.
In the second game of the night, it is now week 3. The Lunchadores will now take on the Minnesota North Wolves. The final score in this game was 6-0 North Wolves. A defensive struggle once again. The Lunchadores had a set inside of the twenty with six minutes to go, but penalties sent them out of field goal range, and well away from what could have been a game winning touchdown.
Vincent Jones Jr. had nine tackles and his third sack of the season. It's been three game and three sacks for him.
Jonathan Shuffleboard had four tackles. But remember that chance the Lunchadores had to win the game with about six minutes to go and the ball inside the twenty? Well, that was due to a huge Shuffleboard interception, setting up the offense with a chance to win the game. Penalties ended the drive.
That is your Lunch-a-dore Second Line update.
