*TH killed the S18 class

TomHanks or as many of you know him, Mr Smol Potatoes has been in the ISFL for a very long time. He's seen many players come and go and had had his small fry hands on many things in the league. From DSFL and ISFL GM, to DSFL HO commish, and to a terrible werewolf player.

TH has impacted this league many times and some of them maybe even positively. But today we're going to talk about how he caused the drama that spans from the glorious and humble S18 class.

During the s17 DSFL draft, TH was the GM of the Tijuana IA train and wanted to continue his dominance by robbing Saba of every pick in the draft. TH would go through the s17 DSFL season and win the ultimini 100% because of scorp and TH just rode his coattails so much that Nola gave him a job for the s18 season.

S18 had some pretty dominant names and some of them actually lived up to the hype. Most of them were awful.

The s18 class was lead with the 1st overall pick, Bjorn Ironside (isastarcrossed) a player so good that he went 1oa twice. Like many 1OAs through sports he had an amazing highlight reel by writing groundbreaking media making him a can't miss for the ISFL draft GMs. TH had the easiest job in the world. Just show up to the draft and say "Ironside" and by some miracle he did it. TH would go on to win an ultimus, (again thanks to scorp) and everything looked great for the GM that did the obvious thing. Until the day it happened. TH hired Isa as his coGM. This would lead to many stressful days for Isa and eventually he went IA. Isa did come back after a season however only to realize TH has small potatoes and left to go where all players go when they want out of their losing team, Colorado.

2oa and 3oa were recreates that TH couldn't put his hands on and one went IA on their own while the other would have a successful career. Except for the tragedy of Stuart Little being robbed of DRotY thanks to TH not voting for him. (No one else voted for him because HO never put him on the ballot due to sim error)

4oa was the only player from s18 that was universally loved. The great humble legend Murtsi. Murtsi avoided TH as much as possible, earning TPE at a super rate while winning multiple awards and games with YKW. Murtsi was the face of s18. Everything we wanted to be. "What Would Murtsi Do?" bands sold like hotcakes. Murtsi was safe from the small potato man until TH brainwashed him into joining dsfl HO. Murtsi joined DSFL HO and immediately retired to Finland.

The next pick is where TH really destroyed s18. Tijuana was on the clock. Their moment had arrived. The legendary Trae Bacon was still there. Bacon was THE player of s18. He created the entire DSFL in madden. Through mods he created uniforms, logos, fields, the whole thing. Bacon was super active and beloved by the s18 class. Every mock draft had him as a top 2 pick. Tijuana couldn't mess this up.

And yet.

They did.

Tijuana traded away their pick (as well as the pick that turned into Kacey Dream - scorycory in s19) to Portland for picks (these picks would turn into: Junior Lopez - BeneZero, Joseph Wozniak - illegaloctopus, Wayne Howyanow - Jsteele, Dorian Cope - CCC, and Gary Lazer-eyes - Sweetwater in the s19 class)

So now, Portland is on the clock. They had the opportunity to save Bacon from his inevitable IA-ness but since he wasn't a toxic CB they passed on him. Instead they draft Jay Cue who turned into the best DSFL QB in league history.

Bacon would fall out of the 1st round and go IA becauss he felt he wasted time working hard for a league that obviously didn't want him. All thanks to TH's trade.

Cue turned into an amazing QB on both levels and is, at the time of me writing this, one of the few success stories of the s18 class.

The 6th pick was Bex who has never had any interaction with TH in public chats or private. This message brought to you by HO's Public Relations Department

The next pick by Tijuana would be 11th overall which would turn into WR Jake Watson (goodvsevil1275). Jake was one of the best personalities the class had to offer. He was a bright spot in a truly dark world. Tijuana did such a great job drafting him that TH immediately traded him to Portland before the draft ended where he'd rot away in the Python's sim testing chambers before being saved by a good looking Philly GM where he would go IA before the season ended thanks to other TH drama.

Luckily, Tijuana had back to back picks in the 2nd. Maybe this time they'd actually keep one!

They pick Thudd Kassel - DylanDeluxe. The player so famous that people stop and gasp at his name. DD not only was a cornerstone for the Tijuana defense but he'd also take over as GM of the Luchadores in s18 where he'd go on to have the best winning % in Tijuana history. TH got so jealous that he had him banned because he couldn't stand having someone better than him run his own team.

Now the biggest impact TH had on s18 was not by the picks he screwed up by drafting/trading but by the players he didn't pick. Hallmonitor and Frostbite were passed on by Tijuana a combined 12 times! Two of s18s most active users that are still around today we're not good enough for TH, instead they both wound up on Palm Beach. A team so exciting that both GMs went IA before the draft stream. This would set in motion of serious events leading to the Frosty Hallways GM duo that would create the great Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. The beach Boys would create a splash in the league by rejuvenating a locker room so dead that Norfolk would be jealous of to the greatest place to play in the dsfl. To top it all of, TH trading away the pick (that ended up being the pick that Portland drafted Cory with) lead to Cory hating the Portland drama room and coming to MB as a GM. The Buccaneers would cause plenty of drama and lead to many punishment threads but remember next time that you're arguing about the Beach Boys that if it wasn't for TH skipping out on two of the best users in the draft that there would be no Beach Boys and no Sarasota and no one for Dallas to cry about whenever they lose. (So TH should've got fined not Cory, Rayne and Frost imo)

TH's s17 DSFL draft lead Tijuana to 25 picks and as of today, only 2 of them remain active. Which proves the point that TH and his small potatoes killed the s18 class.
