Once again, we have finished a season and we are able to look again at the top ten lists for the New Orleans Seconds Line franchise.
Look HERE for the spreadsheet which is a lot prettier!
First off, as always, let's look at game records:
Rushing average (min. 10 carries): Rookie Mike Rotchburns had a great first season and had one stand-out game in this category, where he had 7.2 yards per rushing average, good for 5th all time. It actually ties Hall of Famer Darren Smallwoods record for non QBs.
Rushing touchdowns: In her last season in her career, Marcella Toriki crowned her career with a four touchdown game, the third such game in NOLA history, after Darren Smallwood and Tyler Swift.
Receiving average (min. 3 catches): Ed Barker had another great season and comes in fourth with 34.7 yards per catch.
Pass deflections: D. Rector had an insane game where he got 7 PDs. This is good for the 2nd best game in NOLA history, after my own 8 with O'Sullivan.
Punts made: Sadly, NOLA had to punt a lot at times this season. Louis had two 12 punt games, 6th and 7th all time.
Punt yards: In those two games, Louis also got a lot of yards. 550 yards are good for 5th all time, while 583 yards are good for 2nd all time.
Punts average: Louis had 53.8 yards per punt once, which gets him to 10th.
Punts inside 20: Louis also had some good directional punts into the 20, with 4 such in one game, sixth all time.
Punt return yards: Rector had a great return game as well, with one game coming in at 124 yards, good for 2nd all time.
