*my draft experience

Tonight was the ISFL Draft, I knew I wasn't going to be a high pick, so as a result, I didn't really stress too much about it.  So tonight instead of watching the draft, I went to the local high school football game, now this wasn't the high school I go to (it is the closest but I go to the next school over, long story, my high school played last night, we lost  22-0 to our number 1 "rival" which isn't really a rivalry because they have as many state championships as we have wins during my time in high school)   So I was there as a fan at  Edison not as a member of the marching band which is what i am at my own high school.  At the game which featured the Thomas A. Edison high school Eagles  and the West Springfield High school Spartans, I had my phone on me to get draft updates incase i got picked, the game to say it was one-sided is an understatement, it was 56-0 Spartans at the half, than they started running the clock and the final was 56-3.  Throughout the game I was getting draft updates bout all my teammates, but not me, after the game I am sitting in the car listening to the draft, and that's when I got picked 45th overall, I asked who picked me and it was Philly, i was surprised because up until right before the draft  Philly was on my list of teams I didn't want to play for, but after the INT king Negs who was also my GM told me more about Philly's non-rivalry with Baltimore which had been the big thing in there place on my list, so they were off the list. What surprised me was that I was picked by them even after my vocal dislike of them, (my guess is Negs put in a good word for me, also I was one of the few actives left)  lOng story short i got picked at a football game where the team I was cheering for lost by 53, by a team I didn't like until the hour of the draft and I heard about all it from a teammate (thank you Sconnie Mchits).  On the upside I'm in philly and I REALLY like Cheesesteaks, so yeah, I think im gonna like it here.  (397 words)
