I might be new to the league but I know that as a rookie I need cash and 2X Media is a decent way of making that money. So let's build a team together and get ready to whoop some alien ass.
Quarterback - Dexter Zaylren - Berlin Fire Salamanders :fire salamanders:
Mattathias Caliban has more interceptions (eight) than Zaylren (three) and a much lower completion percentage. While Caliban does have more touchdowns and yardage than Zaylren, I'm going with Dexter. Mostly because this is going to be a team of all-stars and I don't need a quarterback to win the game for me single-handily. I just need a nice, reliable game manager who can move us down the field through the air without giving the ball over at an inopportune moment.
Running Back - Goat Tank - Berlin Fire Salamanders
Yes, Cobra Kai has more touchdowns but Goat Tank has far more yards and I've already taken Dexter Zaylren so it makes sense to keep two Berlin players together since they might have chemistry together. Kai feels like more of a goalline back than a true number one back so Goat Tank gets the nod here.
Wide Receiver - Tugg Speedman - New York Silverbacks
This one feels incredibly obvious. Speedman leads the league in receiving touchdowns with ten and has one thousand four hundred and eighty-nine receiving yards so far this season, one hundred and ninety-five more than second-place Jake Fencik. Tugg also leads the league in receptions with ninety-six passes caught so far this year.
Wide Receiver - Bayley Cowabunga - Austin Copperheads
Cowabunga leads the league in touchdown receptions this year with fourteen so far. While they don't have the yardage of a Jake Fencik or Raphael Delacour, they have proven that they are an incredible red zone threat this year.
Wide Receiver - Jake Fencik - Philadelphia Liberty
Speaking of Jake Fencik, there was no way I was going to leave him off the team this year. He's second in reception yards with one thousand two hundred and ninety-four, he's first in average yards per catch with a whopping seventeen point five yards per reception and he's tied for the fifth-most touchdown receptions with eight. When a player this good is your third receiving option you know you have a stacked receiving corps.
Wide Receiver - Jaycee Higgins - San Jose Sabercats
We need to show the young guys some love here so I'm taking Higgins as my fourth receiver. A potential offensive rookie of the year winner so far Higgins has caught ten touchdown passes, tied for third with Tugg Speedman at ten, and racked up seven hundred and eighty-five reception yards. Not bad for a rookie campaign at wideout.
Tight End - Borgo San Lorenzo - Philadelphia Liberty
This is another no-brainer. So far San Lorenzo has caught seven touchdown passes while Mario Messi has caught six. San Lorenzo also has seven hundred and eight reception yards while Messi is a hundred five yards back with six hundred and three.
Offensive Tackle - Stumpy Jones - Sarasota Sailfish
This might be a strange pick to a few people. Stumpy only has ninety-five pancakes this year while the league leader, Bruce Buckley, has one-hundred and twenty-five. The problem is Bruce Buckley has given up three sacks on the season so far while Stumpy has yet to give up a single sack.
Defensive Tackle - Chuck Roth - Arizona Outlaws -
Roth has the most sacks of any defensive tackle so far this year with six as well as sixty-one tackles which is the most of any defensive tackle.
Defensive End - Mongo - New York Silverbacks
Another no-brainer. Mongo has ten sacks on the season so far while the second place defensive end, David Frank, only has nine. Mongo also has thirty-eight tackles to Frank's twenty-four.
Right Outside Linebacker - Big Slammu - Honolu Hahalua
Slammu leads the league in sacks so far this year with seventeen. He also has one hundred and six tackles which is good for third so far this year. He's also forced six fumbles, He also leads the league with nine tackles for loss on the year so far, tied with second place defensive end Leonard Taylor of the Yellowknife Wraiths.
Middle Linebacker - Rusty Rucker - Colorado Yeti
Rusty is second in the league in terms of tackles with an impressive one hundred and sixteen but that's not the reason he's on this team. See, Rusty also has forced eight fumbles so far this season which leads the league. That's definitely a player you want in your defensive corps if you can have so Rucker gets a spot at linebacker for this team.
Left Outside Linebacker - Busch Light - New Orleans Secondline
Perhaps a bit of surprise picks here but Light leads all linebackers this season with four interceptions. I feel like we're good on upfront pressure with our defensive line so it makes sense to get a linebacker whose good at coverage somewhere n our defensive corps.
Cornerback - Willie Miller - San Jose Sabercats
Willie leads the league in interceptions. There are far better-tackling cornerbacks in the league but my hope is that Rusty Rucker and Big Slammu can lockdown the middle of the field to allow Miller to sit back and wait for an opportunity to ballhawk.
Cornerback - Jeeeroy Lenkins - Berlin Fire Salamanders
Speaking of good tackling cornerbacks, here comes Jeeeroy Jenkins the cornerback who leads all cornerbacks in tackles so far this season. His tackling skill is the perfect complement to Willie Millerr's interception talent. They should be a dynamic duo in this team's defensive backfield.
Free Safety - Cuco Clemente - Sarasota Sailfish
Cuco is tied for first place in terms of defensive touchdowns so far this year with two. He's also got a sack and four interceptions.
Strong Safety - Chathack'rius Smith IV -
Austin Copperheads
Chathack'rius Smith IV leads all defensive players with two defensive touchdowns so far this season. He's also forced two fumbles and scored three sacks. Not bad for safety.
Kicker - Freddy Bly - Honoholu Hahalua
While Bly has a pitiful ninety-six percent extra point percentage he has the best field goal percentage in the league at a hundred percent. I think field goals are more valuable than extra points so I took BLy instead of any of the other kickers.
Punter - Sam Sidekick - Chicago Butchers
am Sidekick has the highest average punt yardage in the league this year. His other stats are relatively mediocre but that's the main stat I was looking at when deciding which kicker to take here.
