10. Jacob Small - Kicker/Punter - Second in Field Goals, Second In Extra Points made, Second in Total Punts, Third in Punt Yardage
Small was a key component of the season twenty-two Ultimini winning Luchadores squad. Two things contribute to Small's ranking on this list. The first is his lack of positional awards and the fact that the Luchadores were graced with a better kicker earlier in their existence. Small is still a fantastic kicker and was much more to the Sarasota Sailfish in the ISFL than he was to the DSFL Luchadores.
9. Jordan Jackson - Kicker/Punter - Career leader in Field Goals, Career Leader in Extra Points, Career Leader In Punts, Career Leader In Punt Yardage
There's not much doubt that Jordan Jackson is the best kicker in the history of the Tijuana Luchadore franchise. Unlike his rival Jacob Small, Jackson managed to win Kicker and Punter Of The Year in season eighteen which only adds to his already tremendous legacy.
8. Doug Howlett - Wide Receiver - Second in career Receiving Yards, Second in career receptions
The season twenty-four DSFL Wide Receiver Of The Year comes in on eighth on our list. The immediate thing that jumps out about Howlett is that while he's second in career receiving yards, he doesn't appear in the top ten when it comes to touchdown receptions. Howlett was also a member of the season twenty-two Ultimini winning Luchadores team along with Jacob Small.
7. Junior Lopez - Linebacker - First in career tackles, Third in career sacks, First in career forced fumbles
A remember of both the season seventeen and season-twenty-two Ultimini winning teams, Lopez was a dominant defensive force on the Luchadores in his time with the franchise.
6. Forrest Gump - Runningback - Second in career rushing touchdowns
Gump won Running Back Of The Year in season fifteen with the Luchadores. Forrest also holds the single-season rushing touchdown record for Tijuana. It seems like he'd be a bit higher on the list if he hadn't been called up early.
5. Zoro Rororona - Runningback - First in career rushing touchdowns, First in career rushing yards,
Zoro is probably the best running back in Luchadores history. Zoro is hurt by his lack of individual awards and the fact there have just been better players for the iconic Luchadores franchise over time. This is one of the downsides of playing for the most successful team in the history of the DSFL. You have a lot of completion to compete against in the record book.
4. Jordan McCann lll - Fifth in career passing touchdowns, fourth in career receiving yards, Fourth in career receiving touchdowns, Fourth in career receptions, Tied for first in career kick return touchdowns
McCann played all over the field for the Luchadores and he excelled everywhere he went. His sheer versatility is what puts him this high up on the list for me.
3. Friedrich Vequain - First in career receiving yards, First in career receiving touchdowns, First in career receptions, Second in punt return yards, Second in punt return touchdowns
Vequain is without a shadow of a doubt the greatest wide receiver in Luchadores history. I feel like the stats for themselves with this entry. Vequain had an amazing career in Tijuana and definitely deserves to be this high up on the list.
2. Andreas Metaxas - First in career passing completions, Second in career passing touchdowns, Second in career passing yards
Perhaps for any other franchise, Andreas would be the best player and the best quarterback in their history but once again, Tijuana's legendary past knocks a great player down the list.
1.Corvo Havran - First in career passing yards, First in career passing yards, First in career pass completions
The season thirteen DSFL Quarter Of The Year is hands down the greatest Tijuana Luchadore in history. To put in perspective how great Corvo Harvan was for the Lucha, the three highest passing yards in franchise history all belong to Corvo. Tijuana has had a lot of great quarterbacks including Ben Slothlisberger and Mike Boss Jr but Corvo sits alone at the top of the record books.
